I always respected the friendship between these two. A Muslim and a Jew from two opposite sides of the world embracing one another in friendship blinded from any cultural or religious differences. We can all learn from these two men. God bless them both and what they do in showing us there is still hope in this screwed up world.

I am aware of that, however, Jon's upbringing and cultural experience is distinctly western, compared to Bassem's. However, they both have a cosmopolitan attitude towards geopolitics, which allows them to be such effective ombudsmen.

Thank you for this. I'm not jewish myself but I lived much of my life in the US and have very close jewish friends - they are very much against Israel's politics. One jewish man I knew was in Gaza during the 2nd intifada and went in ambulances with Palestinians to keep the Israeli soldiers from shooting at them. And Jon Stewart reports more sympathetically about Palestine than anyone else on American tv. It is not about ethnicity, it's about knowledge, and what your parents tell you growing up.

Beautiful! Well spoken, insightful, and the humor shows our remarkable similarities as peoples and how our differences can be used to create similarities through laughter. It also shows globally how we really need to re-evaluate the type of people we elect into power. The world would do well if run by people like these wonderful men.

Canadian here,,,,,I really enjoyed this. What an inspirational thing to watch. What I loved so much about this program is that what they were discussing speaks to the heart. And it's true no matter what country you live in, or religion you belong to, there is always going to be some @ ss hole somewhere. At the end of the day we are all people who just want to live a normal peaceful life and to be able to pursue happiness and enjoy and marvel at each others differences.

Mohamed Omar Sorry but that's not true. During May, June, and July, the northern hemisphere is exposed to more direct sunlight because the hemisphere faces the sun. The same is true of the southern hemisphere in November, December, and January. It is the tilt of the Earth that causes the Sun to be higher in the sky during the summer months which increases the solar flux. However, due to seasonal lag, June, July, and August are the hottest months in the northern hemisphere and December, January, and February are the hottest months in the southern hemisphere.

As sweet as that is, political leaders should have some kind of political experience, not just be some popular person with ideas that sound good to people who ALSO don’t know how any of this works. If it’s not ok for Trump to run the country with no idea how to actually do that job, then it’s not ok for liberal celebrities either.

was anyone annoyed by the distance of the guest's chair from the host's table? *rolls eyes* everytime, Jon had to "yitrifi3" to get a good look at the molo5iya.

I believe it is the exact distance it takes so that the guest could walk in carrying a sword and the host is still just barely out of reach.

Actually "ytrifi3" is a word for getting fucked, it's like an idom or something that's why people were laughing 😂😂 so it's not something u wanna say in front of someone else if u don't know it's meaning

The fact that Muslims and Jews had a lot of conflicts... and the fact that this video shows a really great model of how can both of them deal together based on respect and acceptance.. also the fact that a lot of people in this page like to support this kind of positive attitude.... yes dear, that's really shows what bigots we are :)

+Marmar Maklad I think you would be surprised. I am a student in America and I would say most people I know are not racist. There is some yes but mostly not too bad. I live in Maryland near the Capitol.

You are right there are people who arent racist but most of the people who follow the media who talk about arab are racist bec arab are portrayed as terrorists and also they talk about freedom and accepting others when they cant accept the fact that isis doesn't represent islam bec if they were muslim they wouldnt ve burned mosques and accused other muslims of not being real muslim

Marmar Maklad no no you are right of course yes. I would just argue that the media does not show they whole truth and that for as many they show being hateful there are more people who are not hateful they are just not as loud

+Marmar Maklad Have to disagree with you. American's are a bit naive compared to the rest of the world ( I think it has something to do with the geographic and psychological separation, with two massive oceans on either side.) Some of my closest friends and co-workers are from everywhere on earth and I think its wonderful. Russians, Japanese, Iranian's, Afghani's who have come here... American's are an amazingly open minded group of people if you play by some very basic and easy rules. It just doesn't translate with global politics and noisy fringe groups grabbing all the media attention...Jon is more the norm than the exception.
