Sorry, but that's nonsense: Albert Collins was a very special player with his own style and peculiar technique. His phrasing and feel are unique. Why should one claim that he could mimic other players, which he couldn't, nor would there be any reason that he should. Praise him for what he was! Being Albert Collins is enough to be great

Saw him live in 1983 at Tips in New Orleans. Guy I did Not! want to date came over and dragged me to it. Epiphany! Took the Guitar Walk on to a bus. I told him I'd go to shows with him anytime, but find a girlfriend! And then we were three.. And I saw Albert twice more. I'm so grateful to live here! All the Great Ones gigged here.

Super Bad! I was driving home from seeing a local Rggea band one night here in Tucson, Az. As I drove past a club called Berky's, there was Albert Collins playing out on the street! He was wireless I believe and had come outside to draw more of a crowd. Needless to say, I u-turned real quick! Tele Master is correct and he plays with his fingers! That has to be half his tone right there!

Thomas Price I've repeatedly read that Albert used to tune his guitar to an open F minor chord (strange enough!) and then usually put the capo on the 7th fret. The results justify the means, I'd say...
