Why do the classic cars always have to be cooler than most vehicles today?
@williammorales38597 жыл бұрын
TOM because back then there wasn't much safety regulations on cars. It was all about the looks, for example checkout the seats it's basically a sofa. Now we have single seats in the front with seatbelts, of course some single cab trucks still sort of have "couch seats". There also wasn't any crash points on the car, just a big piece of flat metal. So now we have to sacrifice safety over looks. But hey that's why we have the aftermarket.
@riveracarlos3287 жыл бұрын
wrong. most older cars will survive same type of crash over newer model cars. seat belts save lives, airbags don't.

Edward Rivera I really hope you're trying to troll. Because if you're not well honestly dang man you must be pretty uninformed. I won't sustain another reply. All I can say is they don't make them like they used to, for a reason.
@riveracarlos3287 жыл бұрын
nope. you believe the NHTSA that all the crash test done are true. better ratings go the the highest bidder. no matter how safe a new car is, an accident can split a car in two no matter how safe and modern it is.

Most excellent Albert. Much respect for staying with the original inline six! Too many people these days throw a generic small block Chevy engine (or LS) into an old ride, be it a Chevy, Ford or old Mopar. I feel that it subtracts from the car's character personally, although I still respect their love and passion for the older vehicle they drive. There is nothing wrong with sacrificing power for class! Also, much respect for actually driving these beauties and not trailering them to the shows. Old cars are meant to be driven! Thank you for giving back to your community sir!

Good video for today's youngsters to focus to achieve another level.. I started low riding in 73, restored countless classics, bought new and dropped them day after leaving dealer. I stopped when I started a family and started driving beamers, caddies, MZBs, and off road trucks, still fond of 60 thru 76 chevys. Only difference is I won't pay what people are now asking for them.. with patience one can find them priced right as I did not long ago with my 69 purchased from original owner super low documented low miles car for 15 hundred.. Ive driven 2 times in 2 year's. People hit me every time to sell it to them which I won't do.. hard to find a convertible with every option available in 69 aside from agreeing to sell it with original owners.

Great story, Mr. G. When I was in high school in 1967 my family drove a '54 Chevy Bel Aire. When I grew up I always wanted to get a '54 for myself. I am 68 now and I am still looking for one. I firmly believe the Lord is going to help me find one before I die. Thanks for the very inspirational story. Bruce Parks P.S.
