Just saw Albert Lee last night...an amazing guitarist with a good voice, and a great band...IF you get a chance to see him, GO...He's 74 now, and still plays like this...

i know what you mean but country tends to be a cleaner sound but it dose miss Richard's amazing discordant sound

Way way too clean and prettified, sucks the life and energy out of a great Richard Thompson song. For starters, somebody should steal Albert's Music Man guitar, and his amp, and replace them with a Telecaster and a low-power amp that breaks up and distorts easily.
