I still remember when Pujols exploded onto the scene here in St. Louis becoming what we expected JD Drew to be. For me it’s his base topps traded card. I bought mine back in 2002, graded and 8.5 a few years ago.

Nice! It was a magical season, there was so much warranted hype, I can imagine the demand for his cards in the St. Louis area 👍🏼 appreciate you tuning in.

Thanks for taking on this topic Victor! I love to talk Pujols cards and it was great hearing your favorites. Appreciate the honorable mention for the 2001 Topps Chrome “gold” retrofractor. I think that one will continue to be highly sought after and considered his best Topps rookie. There is a retrofractor version of the Ichiro/Pujols card as well with the green border. As always, I love your content. Perhaps in the future, you could do a series highlighting your favorite cards that you own. Maybe a top 50 or you could do it by player.

Great video! I like what you said about Fleer, he has so many Fleer rookies that it’s hard to keep track of and they get watered down (it also doesn’t help that they no longer produce cards). But one Fleer rc he has (not true rookie since he had a dual rookie in the original set) that I’ve never seen is the Platinum version of 2001 Fleer Platinum RC Edition. That card is numbered /21. It’s probably his rarest parallel (same image as the base) out of all his rookie year cards.

Great video! Unfortunately, I need the most affordable Pujols Rcs. I’m out of the running on most of these. Although I do agree that Bowman’s Best is an awesome card and a 9 isn’t too bad of a price.

😂 I’m with you on this. Where's the paper RCs? My other video gives you all his true RCs not just the most sought after ones. Appreciate you tuning in. 👍🏼

2001 Bowman Chrome is a card that is part of the set so it is easily his best Rookie Card (a term that needs to be sunsetted imo) The likely answer to your "where are they?" for the SPa .... Set Builders were more prevalent in 2001, but more so Cardinals Team Collectors are very loyal (with deep pockets) to their team and probably have them raw with the other Cardinals in the set.

Great insights! Thanks for sharing Eric. I know that Bowman Chrome is the most expensive of all his RCs. 👍🏼

Nice list - thanks for posting this. Generally agree though I prefer the E-X over the SPX auto. That always seems to be faded. And the traditionalist side of me likes the T247 - doesn’t shine but it’s a good old fashioned baseball card - with enough green to give it something unique.

Victor no need to explain yourself he just wants to know your opinion on Pujols rookie cards….

😂 thanks George. Just being overly precautious I guess.
