5:00 Reminded me of the time I found a wand with the following spells on it: ~Double Spell -Modifier: Casts two of the following spells simultaneously. ~Fire Arc -Modifier: Creates a burning link between two projectiles (needs two projectiles, of course) ~Summon Missile -Projectile Spell: Summons a missile. What I EXPECTED when I used the wand: Two missiles are summoned, and fly towards a target (or two targets), a burning arc linking them together. Sounds pretty badass, right? What I GOT when I used the wand: Two missiles are summoned, and instantly are detonated by the burning arc, killing me before you could say "fuck".

I can't believe you didn't mention how enviromental kills double the amount of gold an enemy drops. this includes the water bit. as long as it's not direct damage or it's the result of another creature. you get more money!

Great mechanic really, rewards players for thinking outside the box and trying to use the environment against enemies instead of turning off their brain and shooting the bad guys, and it really shows how the whole “everything is simulated” isn’t JUST a gimmick.

Can attest to this. Ended up finding out about this, and experimented with it a bit. Now I know that for some reason, unstable crystal's explosion counts as "accidental" kill, and so I have been using that with eternal wealth to earn a lot of money from mobs at the mines.

This game looks like someone took the basic concept of Dan Ball’s Powder Game, used that to build a world, and scattered a bunch of rogue like elements around it. I love it and am absolutely going to try taking a closer look.

If you don't mind dying a lot then you can have a lot of fun crafting interesting wands.
@sethb3090 Жыл бұрын
When it works, though . . . I made a wand once that was like the arrow from Guardians of the Galaxy (i.e. you fired it and it cleared three rooms by itself, homing in on enemies through walls, going right through them, and doing stupid amounts of damage). You could spam it every second or so, but there was really no point to firing it more than once until its projectile expired 20s later.

In my experience, it's really not that fun. Just repetitive, not that well designed, kinda boring. Go into the cave, lose because the RNG didn't give you a good start, repeat 10 times, finally get a good start, get one-shot by some random enemy that came from outside the screen and got to you in half a second. Might sound fun for some people but really it isn't that much.

This a very VERY accurate video. At 300+ hours I can recognize every nuance in every bit of damage and death. The ol' berserkium-suicide is my favorite. The real question, however, is whether I was always deranged or did Noita make me this way? At any rate, it's only a matter of time until SsethTzeentach reviews this.
