I didn't even think of the timing when I sent the question in! I hope it wasn't too weird for you to talk about on camera. It was really nice to hear you guys talk about this, I like the touch of humor throughout it, as well. I think it's only fair since you guys answered my question (thank you again) that I answer my own question- definitely donate what's useful, and I'd like the useless delicious organs to be buried in a green burial. I will also be voting tomorrow, because cool kids vote. Quick edit to add; thank you Reba for delivering my question, I appreciate it

I love Caitlyn too and I was actually wondering what they thought of death preparation too! So I was very excited about the question being answered.

I'm the complete opposite... I CAN'T STAND room temperature or warm water, and will only drink cold water.
@KaylaNoelle16 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I always thought that was an instinctual thing because in nature the fast-moving cleaner water would be colder and the still nasty water would be warmer.

Hey ang!! I hate drinking cold water too because you can't drink as much of it and i normally ask for no ice in my beverages as a whole, but there's a good reason why. Apparently when you're dehydrated or suffering from heat stroke, it's best to drink room temp or warm water, because it's easier for our bodies to take in liquids that aren't cold, and it hydrates you faster. Just wait for your drink to reach room temp!

from what i found when i was looking into the tree cremation thing for my own death plan, after cremation whats left over is bone ash, which doesnt actually give nutrients to the tree. but it's still nice as a symbolic thing, your remains are still mixed into the soil and are part of the earth held by the root system. natural burial is what recycles carbon nutrients back into the soil best, but it's understandable to want something neater like cremation for the sake of the living loved ones. but natural burial is what i personally want, hopefully somewhere in a forest my loved ones can come visit and sit by some nice moss or something. but I havent written up a death will so if something happens to me before then my mom will probably have me cremated bc thats what she wants for herself. we discussed it when i was a kid and i said i wanted to have my ashes scattered in some woods somewhere so hopefully she remembers that haha. but if she does what she told me she wanted, which is to be scattered into the sea, that would be ok too.

I literally gasped when I heard your death plan, ALB. Several Valentine days ago, my spouse and I went to a behind the scenes tour of the aquarium and got to be right above the sharks. I said "when I die please feed me to sharks". I've literally never heard someone else say that before! Unfortunate that's it's illegal..

Sharks can't eat human meat without getting killed, sadly (sadly because of ALB's death goal haha). Whenever a great white (or tiger shark or whatever) bites or kills someone here in Australia several sharks end up dead as they're killed with the aim of getting the one that attacked a human, since the idea is they'll attack humans again if they've had a taste :/ which is dumb, since sharks don't prefer humans at all and would much rather eat a seal. ANYWAY, shark culls make me mad. PS I'm still loving these episodes!

I'm getting ready to study a MA in Death, religion and culture and it's a little odd to explain to people after graduating from Fine Art recently.. Room temp water is healthiest. Cold water actually causes internal muscle contraction which could explain your discomfort. I agree about ice. I have those reusable ones because they don’t get extremely cold and they melt quickly

Oh wow, I thought I was the only one who has water-drinking problems! I have a lot of trouble processing that I'm thirsty, so I compensate by drinking lots of nice teas that I really enjoy...buuut that's no substitute for water sometimes, especially if I slug back a pool's worth of caffeinated tea in the evening eheh. I actually started drinking hot water because you mentioned doing that in a different vid of yours, and it's worked amazingly at getting me to actually drink water. A++ tip
@katiesawesomelife6 жыл бұрын
I totally relate to ALB as I've always hated drinking water. When I was a kid I'd end up at the doctor's all the time, because I lived in a Mediterranean country yet I'd constantly purposely dehydrate myself because I refused to drink water. Nowadays I can drink it if it's ice cold and mixed with squash/cordial and I probably drink around 2 litres every work day (I love the water cooler with all my heart), but I'd much rather be drinking fruit juice - water is just cheaper.
