Thank for delivering great quality content with such extremely high production value, dedicated attention to the details we all love to see, and thorough love for motorsports. It really means a lot to me as a fan to see you cleaning the 2.5 marking under the hood even though it's not even your car. We see the real passion you have in moments like that.

I have two Foresters. There's my old 2005 2.0 XEN, which I love so much I couldn't sell when I was tempted by a 2008 2.5 XT PPP. The former could take a fridge to the top of Snowdon with its low ratio box, and the latter could humble a lot of sports cars on a track day. Not many cars are as versatile as a Fozzy :).

Wow, I'm so glad I found this channel, so much knowledge and in- depth comparison. I specially love the emphasis I'm seeing in my passion cars like Evo and STi, even today I miss the EvoX and it saddens me to see so many Germans with 4cyl torbos with smart AWD 4 doors replacing V6s with near 300HP. Evo and STi were under appreciated and way ahead of their times.

I'll tell you the best handling mod for Forester XT and Forester STI, obviously a bigger rear ASB is the key but getting Heavy Duty Steel Sway bar mounts (like Whiteline) and welding them to the chassis, left of field mod, not easy to do but handling is insane and ALL of the creaks and groans go away after doing this this. Reason being is that when you upgrade end links, lateral arms, shocks, mounts and stiffen the hell out of the rear end, the weak link becomes the tiny 8mm bolts that hold the rear bar mounts to the chassis. They back out and eventually break the captive nut the bolts screw into up inside the chassis.

I completely agree with Albo's sentiments regarding the fantastic mix of performance and utility of the SG9 Forester STi. I love mine, even with over twice the mileage of Albo's mint example here. Where did he get that wing??? Not a fan of version 9 bonnet scoops on these, but to each their own. The wheels and stance are 👌. Point of correction: The SF generation DID have an STi version.
