James Dean Bradfield is a hero. One of the most gifted melody men in the past 30 years.

His political views are spot on. One of the greatest guitarists and songwriters this country has produced up there with George Michael, Lennon/McCartney, Bowie, Nick Drake, Green Gartside, Paddy McAloon, Terry Hall and so on.. A modest and wonderful human. God bless you James for all your wonderful songs!

Musical genius can be a bit subjective but this man is up there with the very best, to put tunes to some of those deep lyrics from Nicky and Richy is quite something. Born the year after me and i grew up in wales so can relate to a lot of their music, glad to see support is as strong as ever. Great interview, thank you

The Manics have taught me more about the world over the past 30 years than anything I rote learned at school. I followed them for the raw burning teenage punk ethos. I've stayed for the quiet humility with which they convey important ideas. James is such a humble guy. The way he almost looks embarrassed to act as a spokesperson for a certain group, from a certain generation (us), is hugely endearing. Nicky demands we listen, James compels us to keep on listening. Thank you boys. You've quite literally been the soundtrack to my life, and I love you more than is sensible for a weather beaten 43 year old grumpy sod! *well done to James in producing an absolute masterpiece with even in exile. More learning, more beauty, more quiet rage at this world.

Me and my wife saw him do a talk at the Hay Festival interviewed by John Niven. James came across very well although he seemed nervous. He was nice to a fan on the way out which was for us the stand out moment because of his sincerity in taking an interest in what the fan was saying. The Manic Street Preachers are one of my favourite bands with so much to say about the world to this 53 year old. An epic and heroic band.

in the medieval Mabinogion tales, King Arthur was at Caerleon. There is a Roman ampitheatre, a round table perhaps. Love to Chile from Wales, hourray for Jara and solidarity against fascism and for international friendship and peace. I recommend the great film The Battle of Chile, films by Raul Ruiz, Isabel Allende's book House of the Spirits. poems by Neruda...

JDB is so often anxious and uncomfortable in interviews. You can see here he's really comfortable and free to be himself here. A rare glimpse of the real JDB ❤

Seems like the interviewer is disinterested or even mocking James. Not cool to watch this. Loved JDB’s singing and guitar playing since 94.

your in order seems like it's to much trouble & he's not really got any interest in what James says. Go & interview Donald Trump if u think he's more interesting

James knows rona's total bullcack but is being careful what he says obv. His lyrics from Tolerate This got me searching some interviews of him. No way he's spaxinated. "Left wing right wing" all part of the same vile bird. "Politics" is a theatre show for the lemmings in a trance.
