In a year with so much good music, FF may run away with my AOTY for the 3rd time, what an unbelievably beautiful album

@Nathan Logan Oooh! Still haven't checked out their new album yet. Shore, for me, is just a really beautifully honest album, I love the production and the worldly atmosphere of the lyrics. Definitely one of my albums of the year.

Crack Up is a tough listen and not the best choice for someone new to Fleet Foxes. That being said, after three years of listening to it ... it is now my favorite Fleet Foxes album. Definitely a grower, but well worth the time.

crack up always struck me as so divergent from the normal discography, but the experimentation seemed so natural to me at the same time. they’re my favorite band of all time and helplessness blues helped me greatly in a lot of times of my life, and crack up was an album that i felt aged with me. i adore the structure and the risks, and it’s probably a tie for my favorite now. i thought it was remarkable even from the first time i heard it personally!

Crack-Up isn't as accessible, but fuck me it's their best record by far. I couldn't really get into it for the first year, but once I "got it" it became my favorite album from any artist. It's so layered, complex, challenging and the lyrics are incredible

The song "Jara" is a colorful and poetic tribute to VÍCTOR JARA, a legendary Chilean actor, theater director and singer-songwriter. Víctor is considered one of the greatest creators of popular music in his country. Their songs celebrated the cultures of Chile and Latin America, with lyrics that called for the creation of a new society that would dignify the labourists, the farmers, the poor, the indigenous and the marginalized. Due to his membership in the Communist Party of Chile, Víctor Jara was assassinated by the Chilean military in September 1973, when the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet began. His albums were burned and his artistic work was banned in his country for years. His tragic and unjust death moved many people around the world, including several artists who have paid tribute to him: Phil Ochs, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, The Clash, U2, Peter Gabriel, Rage Against The Machine, Bruce Springsteen, Roger Waters, James Dean Bradfield and many more. Indeed, Victor was aware of the work of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and Pete Seeger. In one of his last interviews he mentioned them.

Fantastic album. Fleet Foxes always deliver, not a stain in their discography. Sunblind's probably my least favourite because of how poppy it is. Their S/T album is still my fav from them though, pure folk magic

I'm here because of "Can I believe you". I discovered it on a playlist on Spotify, and I've had it in my liked songs for 2 weeks now, and the melody was stuck in my head all day so I listened to it and I'm obsessed. I've literally had it on repeat all day. Like the arrangement and melody is INSANE. So so good. One of my favorite songs in a long time.

I see your point my comment is an unfair comment it like I comment before I even watched and listened to what he had to say so it was unfair for me to have said what I said. He really liked it more than I expected based off what he said about Fleet Foxes first two albums being great albums and then the third record not so much. I like the fact that Fleet Foxes have the ability to make a great album that in order to get to the point where you feel is a great album you have to spend more time with it. Also I feel like some of that was found on ‘Shore’, but the kind of backed a way from experimentation so for him he felt that they had not gone to far with the experimentation. I don’t agree with how what he thinks of ‘Carcked-Up’ it a excellent album. Beautiful album. My favorite of theirs is ‘Cracked Up’

I think the main problem here is that this guy is not open to experimentation he want things to be as easy going as possible. What he doesn’t understand that indie artist like artist/bands on independent. Is he is not as open to the idea of letting it grow on him. With fleet foxes they’re a band that I totally can see them from the beginning and branching out with experimentation and they definitely have room for that. Even room for influences from artist who aren’t folk music at all. I think for Fleet Foxes that makes them an even better band. If they keep there sound like their first 2 albums with very little experimentation so the sounds is exactly the same or to close the sound of their first single two records we’d get tired of there music. This reviewer might get tired of it as well he doesn’t really know if he would or would not, because they have experimented added elements that we Haden’s heard on Fleet Foxes first two albums.

Sorry about the negative comments I made. I was dishonest and unfair to you. I made the comment before you even listen to any of the tracks for this video. I figure that you weren’t going to like it just because ‘Craked-Up’ is your least favorite album. I finally did get around to watching and listening to this hole video and thought why did I say that you wouldn’t like it. ‘Shore’ is a great album. One disagreement that I do have is that your comparison to ‘Cracked Up’ and to Bon Iver is not a good one Fleet Foxes in no way went overboard on ‘Cracked-Up with the experimentation.I think that album works very well with all the other albums my one complaint about it is they recorded it so it would sound louder than any of their other records to the point where you feel you have the volume turned up to high and then you try that with other Fleet Foxes other albums that isn’t and issue with their other albums, the recording quality on ‘Craked- Up’ is more crips and clear than any of there other albums though. They had plenty of room for experimentation and didn’t go to far with that on ‘Cracked-Up’. I think you did a great job with your reaction video to Fleet Foxes album ‘Shore and didn’t dislike it at all at least as much as I thought you would.
