6:45 The Seventh Seal used to be my favorite Bergman film by a country mile. Now it's probably The Virgin Spring. The dude was a straight baller.

I love the album, it’s the equal of Scott 3 in my view. You should check out “Climate of Hunter” - it’s really Scott 5, only it arrived 15 years later, it’s the start of avant-garde era of Scott’s solo work. Check it out.

You're evangelizing some great, under-represented records with these vids! KZbin doesn't need anymore Tool or Radiohead reactions, lol.

Oh man Scott4. - what a masterpiece…it was a commercial failure and was the start of Scott’s disappearance from the public gaze….Climate of Hunter is SUPER underrated and overlooked in his catalogue….

After a few listens Scott 4 quickly became one of my favourite albums period. Duchess was the entry point but Angels of Ashes jumped out to me as one of the prettiest tracks I discovered last year in general. I think a lot of it is in the drama and theatrics of strings and the baroque part of the production. Not to mention his voice is great too. It reminds me a lot of why I love Five Leaves Left more than Pink Moon by Nick Drake and although I love both of those records, it's the accompaniments of that first album (thinking of songs like River Man, The Thoughts of Mary Jane or Fruit Tree) that give it something more for me personally.

Interesting artist. As you suggest, a lot of crooner vibes like Sinatra, Aznavour or Brel, but without the too much romantic thing. Beautiful orchestral arrangements.

“Fat Mamma Kick” is also outstanding - it still sounds weird all these years later.
