Yes! Weyes Blood! I discovered her at the Beck Summer Odyssey tour. I was walking to a beer vendor to get a drink and her singing literally stopped me in my tracks and I walked back to the stage. Instant fan and went on to buy her albums. Looking forward to her future work and tours. Great episode! 👍

2022. All in all not the worst year. Have 10+ albums that still maintain a presence on my heavy rotation. I mean it’s only two years ago… HMs: Dendrons - 5-3-8 Astragal - Pure Cashmere Foals - Life is Yours The Smile - A Light… Gang of Youths - Angel in Realtime The Weeknd - Dawn FM (just the 80s retro synth sounding tracks) Weyes Blood - And in the Darkness... 10. Arctic Monkeys - The Car 9. Oliver Sim - Hideous Bastard 8. Suede - Autofiction 7. The Heavy Heavy - Life & Life Only (Another fantastic debut) 6. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Cool it Down 5. Liam Gallagher - C’mon You Know 4. Arcade Fire - WE (hated the previous album but love everything on this one) 3. Fontaines DC - Skinty Fa 2. Yard Act - The Overload 1. Thus Love - Memorial (man, what a debut)

Well awwright... Happy Thursday my fellow music lovers!! So 2022 huh? Oh boy! So I have top 4 and anything by artists on my worst. So let's begin... My Top 4: 4. Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (I understand that most people aren't a big Kendrick fans but this is pretty good.) 3. Scorpions - Rock Believer (agree everything you said Paul) 2. Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs - External Combustion (going through the Tom Petty journey and decided to check out Mike Campbell's solo albums and the three albums sounded good. Especially this one) And my number one album of 2022 goes to: 1. Tears For Fears - The Tipping Point (I was so happy that Roland and Curt were releasing this album and it reminds me of their first two albums.) Now my worst of 2022: Anything by Machine Gun Kelly Anything by Beyonce Anything by Ariana Grande Anything by Simple Plan And my worst of 2022 goes to: Anything and everything by female rappers of the year (Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Saweetie, City Girls, Sexxy Red, Doja Cat, etc.) So that's my list. Can't wait to see everyone's lists and can't wait for my favorite bassists of all time.

I was originally going to pick two albums but I forgot that Kendrick came out with the album that year and heard the Mike Campbell album not too long ago so I decided to go with four. But in 2023, I'll have only one album and you probably know which one it is. Lol

Hope you’re well, m’dear 😊 Yep, ‘Autofiction’ is a brilliant late-period album by one of my all-time-fave bands and they opened up with my fave song from this album when I saw them at Edinburgh Castle earlier this year ❤️🎶🏰 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 As for the Jon Spencer album, I love it - enough to get it on vinyl, which definitely makes it one of the most recently released albums in my collection! xo

On the date of this video Tears for Fears released a video for a new song from an upcoming new live album Songs For A Nervous Planet. I read there are 4 new songs in addition to 18 live tracks.

2022 wasn't so great for me musically. Only have two albums and I doubt either one of them are likable. At least among this group of music freaks anyway. Well, my no. 1 is probably considered at least "decent" or "respectable" at least. 2. Earthling - Eddie Vedder (I know. Yeah, I know. Doesn't help that the cover bares a resemblance to the Michael Schenker Group album Assault Attack either. I think it's a good album anyway (Earthling, I mean. Actually never heard any Michael Schenker Group albums). Long Way especially is a cool track. Almost sounds like something Tom Petty would've done, actually. I know what you're gonna say, Tom probably would've done it A LOT better, and you'd probably be right about that and I think even Eddie himself would agree.) 1. Toy - David Bowie ("Archival release". Stupid cover, but a really good album, I think.) Pete Townshend, Billy Idol, Cyndi Lauper, Pat Benatar, and the Police all say they want their Paulcore TV! It's possible Orville Peck is hiding from the FBI or something like that. Or maybe is related to Sia. I think I saw the Lindas Lindas on one of those late night shows and was impressed by them, but didn't bother to look deep into their music, sadly. That Mavis Staples/Levon Helm album certainly looks interesting. Don't think I was aware of it when it came out. Didn't know Kiefer Sutherland released an album. More like BLOW Street? Nevermind. Vince Neil has indeed gotten to the point in his life and career where he has to make loan approvals. Notoriously Morbid. Isn't that basically Hot Topic? Oh God, I remember Little Steven and the Underground Garage promoting that Jeff Beck/Johnny Depp album as if it was something special. Wasn't to me anyway. Steve even interviewed them. Unfortunate that was the last album Jeff did before he died. Working and hanging with Johnny may have killed him for all I know.

Notoriously Morbid = Hot Topic. Ha! The Beck/Depp album and Little Steven endorsement further illustrate the point I made in the guitarist video. Depp as a guitarist wouldn’t be allowed in the same building as Beck if he was you or me.
