What a super technique cannot wait to try it out. As a newby 69 year old, it is like Christmas every day for me plus saving loads of money from not buying store packed cards. It is so rewarding to see people enjoying my cards. tfs x

Love all your fabulous techniques Jennifer! I have a small suggestion to prevent permanent staining on your Misti, or any other stamping tool. I also do this on my paper trimmer in case I get glue or ink on its platform. I cut and apply a sheet of repositionable, clear, transparent Con-Tact paper that I buy at Dollarama. It can be cleaned with alcohol swabs as well and if it eventually becomes badly stained, you just peel it off and apply a new sheet. It helps to keep your expensive crafting equipment looking like new!

Hi Jennifer, I love all your videos and in the past 18 months or so, since I started stamping, I have learned so many different techniques from you. Because I've not been stamping long I am still building up my supplies of inks etc and I quite often have to send for something before I can begin so imagine how thrilled I am because I actually have a good supply of alcohol inks AND Archival ink pads and I can start on this immediately! Please carry on the good work and thank you 💕

Hi Jennifer! I LOVE your videos! I just watched your video on alcohol inks and ghost stamping. Since I didn’t have any archival ink, I tried Versamark instead. After stamping with Versamark, I applied just a little heat and then wiped it off. I got great results!

I love this technique. In fact, I tried it yesterday. On one that I've tried, the result was not too good but I didn't stamp twice with the archival ink. Now I will do it. And it's great to see the cards that you do with your backgrounds. Thanks for sharing.

Love the technique! For alcohol ink clean up, I often use fingernail polish remover because it cleans much easier and more thorough; I also clean my cutting boards that way that occasionally gets some glue on it and it cleans so easily.

These cards, although relatively simple to create, have elegantly stunning results Jennifer. Each one is beautiful but I absolutely love the results on the acetate for that "How'd you do that?" kind of look. Simple sentiments on glitzy paper is the perfect touch. Thanks so much for sharing your boundless creativity with all of us. I'm always appreciative and amazed. I hope you're having an awesome weekend. ~HUGS~ #kindnessmatters

I am always so inspired by your ideas and how you pull your technique pieces into beautiful cards. Oh, and as a voice of experience here, on the glass mat, don't leave your non-stick mat over your palette while working with alcohol inks. It will stain if you get a little exuberant with the alcohol inks and splatter on the mat.

I only have black archival ink which I didn't use but will definitely try. What I did was spray rubbing alcohol on a makeup sponge and then sponged my stamp. I used a sentiment stamp and while not super clear it still worked pretty well and was clearly legible. I don't have Yupo so I used the back of photo paper. Was fun for my first try.

I use alcohol all the time on my misty and it will lift glue and paint off most surfaces and use to soak my glue bottle caps and paint brushes in if I forget to cap them right away. I have a spray bottle of it handy at all times..cheap cleaner and doesn’t leave a residue.

These are absolutely gorgeous, Jennifer! Thank you for sharing your technique with us. I'm wondering why when I've tried it EXACTLY as shown in the video with the same materials, sometimes mine come out like a big smudge of ink. I'm using Pinata alcohol inks as a background on Yupo paper and Ranger archival ink, and wiping it away immediately. What could I be doing wrong? Do certain color combinations work better than others?
@aslinsantiago27956 жыл бұрын
I have ALWAYS used alcohol to clean my Misti and EVERYTHING else in my craftroom. Instead of sawbs, I use a spray bottle with the alcohol and paper towel.
