Hello! I know this is the very first time that I have found your channel and I just wanted to say that, I have to say that this is the most beautiful tie dye cup I have ever seen, including the ones that I have created myself! The tutorial was the most comprehensive and truly helpful tutorial that I have watched for any technique, by any creator that I have seen, and I watch so many talented people on this platform and others! I also saw that you are getting out of the glitter selling business so that you are able to more of the fun and creative part! If you are this adept at teaching and sharing your talent with this one technique, I cannot wait to see what else you will be creating for us. My little shop is called Glitterally Chaos and I make and sell tumblers and other crafts on a very small basis. I am completely reenergized and inspired to get back in there and get back to creating, I've been in a slump for several months now, so thank you very much! The cup is stunning!

This came out absolutely gorgeous!😍 I've been wanting to try a tie-dye tumbler but have been so intimidated by it. The way you show & explain it so throughly has me ready to dive in. Before I even finished watching I prepped a tumbler to get started on it today! Thank you so much for sharing!❤

Could you do the epoxy method to apply the glitter instead of mod poge? Then let it dry over night and apply the inks and then epoxy final coat?

This is amazing. I love it. Can you tell me if you sealed the glitter coat with resin first before applying the inks or just a spray paint gloss coast or nothing. I’m concerned the glitter will pull off.
@FeatherBearDesigns2 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry for the delayed response! You must spray seal them prior to epoxy or the inks bleed, a clear spray paint works perfectly

Would white glitter work as well?
@FeatherBearDesigns2 жыл бұрын
White does work but looks different, it looks more opal and gives off iridescents.

My question is .. did you epoxy before using the inks? If not can u still use the inks if you used epoxy to add glitter ? I see you used modge podge or soni think I seen that lol…. It’s gorgeous btw ❤️
@FeatherBearDesigns2 жыл бұрын
I did NOT epoxy prior to using the ink, you can absolutely still use the inks when you use epoxy as a glitter adhesive, I just happened to have used modpodge on that cup, you just want to seal the ink before you epoxy over it, or it runs.
@FeatherBearDesigns2 жыл бұрын
And, you can ink OVER epoxy too! It gives a different finish but it works!
@sarahwhited81882 жыл бұрын
Thank you Heather

Would this work on white glitter?
@FeatherBearDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Of course. It’s been done many many times by other amazing creators over white. It gives an opal look, I wanted a solid metallic finish
