You are a very pleasant dude. I'm 48, a combat vet and have been through hell and back. I've drank pretty heavily for the past 15 years. Sometimes I would go on a month break but I always ended back to it. This time must be it, it has to be. I'm 10 days sober and my heart is back to skipping beats worse than when I was binging. I got on metoprolol about a year ago because of these palps and they aren't helping now. I'm just curious how long this will last, I'm hoping not much longer. It's impossible to live this way. Literally every 3rd beat 24/7 is a palp. This video helped way more than all the bullshit online. Thank you sir.

Thank you for your service, you are a courageous person :) The palps were really bad for 48 hours after I stopped drinking for a bit. Went to the hospital many times because of them . When I stopped drinking for good I had them off and for about one year. Drinking was tough on my heart and to this day I still have problems once in a while.

I got reallly bad palpitations that would come on as I was falling asleep. They were so bad I thought that I was having a heart attack. It would happen every time I was drifting off to sleep until the morning, then I would be exhausted. I noticed that I would only get this after a heavy session on the booze the day before. After I stopped drinking, it has totally disappeared and I sleep well. Just this is enough of a reason to stay sober.... there's just so many reasons to stay off the poison. I'm a year sober now and I'm not missing anything about it.. cheers guys.

I am 25 Years old and I was a heavy drinker for 5 months straight until a month ago. I would binge-drink almost any and everything I could get my hands on.Sun-up,to sun-down.I remember sitting in a chair in my home when all of a sudden my heart started to beat out of control.I was almost certain I was gonna die that night.Once my heart calmed,I immediately brushed it off and attempted to drink again. The palpitations day after day would worsen. It'd feel as if my heart would stop for two seconds and beat again.Very rapidly! This is the scariest thing I've ever been through.I had an EKG that stated I suffered a heart attack. However,I went back into the E.R for further testing and was told my heart was completely healthy and strong 😲Due to my stress levels the first EKG was false thank God now I know I never had a heart attack. The doctors reassured me by doing an x-ray and enzyme test.Everything came back unremarkable!A month later(today) I am having slight chest pains that come and go.The heavy, intense palpitations stopped but I do feel light flutters and pain in my chest.I also have leg, neck and stomach twinges.I remember 2 weeks ago when I'd drift off to sleep the palpitations would scare the life out of me.Causing me to lose sleep and stress very badly!!Now that I know my heart is healthy I know for a fact I'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms. It's been a long month but I know It will come to a happy ending soon!!I'm thankful for your video!!

i was drinking heavily the past couple years till the day after christmas. the day after that my left arm started tingling when i was shaking a bottle of mustard, then my heart started pounding when going to sleep. i was scared thinking i was going to die. I barely got any sleep. the next day i drank a bunch of tea at work to stay awake. then at dinner i started feeling horrible and had chest pain. my fingers were tingling. I went to the ER and they found nothing wrong with my heart and said it was alcohol withdraw and gave me Ativan. I felt good for a week while taking Ativan. The day after my ativan ran out my heart raced out of control up to 150bpm for a few minutes and I called 911, once the paramedics came it went back to normal (guess I felt safe they were there?). I went back to the ER and they said it was a panic attack and anxiety. Without the Ativan I felt like crap and doing anything made me tired, I was sleeping 12 hours every night, I was light headed and dizzy... My doctor gave me blood pressure meds and anxiety meds and told me to lose weight, exercise, and eat healthy. I was scared just walking up and down the street would cause a heart attack but he told me don't worry about it and it's the best thing I could do. Fast forward 5 months later. I lost 30 pounds and have been running and hiking. I haven't touched alcohol. Most the issues have cleared up but it seems like it's taking forever. I still have chest pains and get palpitations where my heart skips a beat. I've had a week long EKG and an electrocardiogram and a bunch of blood tests, but they don't see anything. Doctor says if I can run 3 miles straight without stopping then my heart is fine, which I've been doing. I'm wondering if I caught Covid over the holidays and it was asystematic but I have Long Covid which is causing these long term issues. Long Covid sympoms are • Shortness of breath • Exertional intolerance (had this) • Chest pain (still have this) • Heart palpitations (pounding is gone, but still have missed beats) • Sensations of light-headedness and dizziness (had both of these) • Insomnia (had this) • Brain fog • Constipation • Diarrhea • Numbness or tingling in the extremities (nearly gone now) • Longer lasting issues with smell and taste I've had about 1/2 of the symptoms listed. Wish I knew what is wrong with me. Not sure if it's the alcohol, covid, a combo, or something else. If it's Long Covid the myocarditis should go away with time and doesn't cause heart attacks. If it's alcohol related hopefully that fades away too. With all the money I spent at the ER, doctor visits, and tests, I'm never drinking again. I have no craving. The money saved that would normally go to booze is going to pay off my medical bills.

In the last year of my drinking, I was rushed to the hospital my times thinking I was going to have a heart attack. After I stopped the booze the heart palpitations continued for about another 2 years off and on. To this, I have a racing heart and palpitations and it scares the hell out of me. The doctor keeps telling me Im ok and I do feel ok most days . But once in a while, it comes and goes.I believe that is just the way it is. I am sixty years old and haven't drank in 29 .

Now, alcohol makes my heart race, and while my friends make fun of me, I avoid drinking.

IDK if I was lucky, but it’s been over 9 months and I don’t crave a drop of alcohol, the key difference was that I didn’t suffer withdrawal after go’ogling and reading Steffon Barkload’s stuff, not even within the first 30 days after I quit and told no one, did not need AA meetings or meds either.

@@Queenlisanyc Well, I was diagnosed wrong. My EKG said my heart was jumping between 91 and 114 back and forth and my bp was up. But I had just come in out of traffic and in an emergency room because my clinic`s EKG was down. I had nurses running all around me like I was about to die. That`s why my BP was up and heart going over 100. I told them that when I get home both will be back to nearly normal.and they were,, so I refused statins and started with electrolytes and natokinase with cayenne pepper and garlic supplements. My BP is 126 over 90 and steady hear trate of between 55 and 75 .I`ve also been walking 2 miles a day for 7months.

The very same thing has been happening to me. It started last month that my chest pains would happen the day after drinking heavily. So then I thought I just needed to keep drinking. Went to the hospital two different times EKGs were fine everything finally I got a stress test and that came back unremarkable. I was able to go week without drinking before I decided to drink again. Then I just started like moderately drinking everyday thinking that was the solution. Now I haven't drank in 3 days in my chest seems to be feeling worse everyday. I had an appointment with my cardiologists today and now you're thinking I'm going to have to have an angiogram just to make sure I don't have any blockages. I haven't been to work 3 days I'm thinking about calling in tomorrow again and just don't know what to do
