@glachloser Trump and his driver once had a flat tire. Some family helped them change the tire. A week later he paid off their house loan. Trump let homeless people live in the Trump hotel for free for months until they got back on their feet. You are obviously brainwashed by the media. Trump obviously thinks he is the bees knees, but he would definitely pay people who work for him.

Few more details: Hitler personally was never elected but the Nazi party won a relative majority in the last election of the weimar republic. Reichspräsident and Chancellor were different roles with the president being personally elected while he picked the chancellor which was kind of like a prime minister. It's also important to know that towards the end of the Weimar Republic the parliament basically broke down from political infighting and much of legislation got passed by extensive emergency laws granted towards the president. At the time Hitler got into power the system was already beyond repair.

The problem with Van Rossem was that he actually was an economic genius, he was one of the few who understood the world of finance and was calling out bankers predicting the banking crisis in detail decades before it happened. He was so much smarter than anyone else on the subject that he believed he could set up a scam that was basically a copy of what the banks were doing, only with all the profits getting into his pockets rather than the shareholders of the banks. He was undeniably a criminal, but he was a thief who was stealing from people who were legally stealing from the regular people. Ending up this weird cult figure a lot of people had a weak spot for, even though nobody really trusted him.

One story to help you understand why in Belgium he was considered half criminal, half hero: his ability to call out faulty or unfair financial/economical structures...and then exploit them in the most flamboyand, egotistical way possible. When he had his political party, it would receive government money based on the number of votes it got. Van Rossem thought this funding was too much and an unwise spending of government money. So he publicly asked the political leaders if he could give back that money. Of course the political leaders were deadly afraid to set a precedent that would not suit them and denied. Van Rossem promptly bought Ferrari Mondials for his political party staff using the money. And wput a Moneytron windshield banner on them.

Dude after 7years HAAS still hasn't figured out rear brakes that work. Or to be more specific, a MGU-K that doesn't make the brakes fail. First seasons their cars couldn't stop ending up in a wall because the brakes refused to engage for the driver. Always at the most dangerous high speed corners. Literal death trap cars and FIA did nothing. Today total failures happen much less but you can still see the drivers constantly struggling with unreliable braking after high speed straights. It's like their storage or conduits have a safety threshold refusing further charge at some moments and the reaction is releasing pressure on the brakes no matter driver input.

I personally found it strange that Andretti wanted to enter so close before a regulations change. I mean it would effectively mean the team would have to build two cars simultaneously from the ground up, and in two years it is impossible to fully develop a car. Look at Mercedes that missed the right design at the beginning of the ground effect cars, and ar just now starting to catch up, and that is a team with a ton of experience. I think Andretti would fall flat on it's face if they were allowed to do what they wanted to do.
@Rizon1985

@@nicodeboer7429Yeah Mercedes had the most stupid and worst entry in F1 history. 4th, 4th, 5th, 2nd and then 8 years WCC with 7 of them WDC breaking every record around. Every other team missed RB applying exhaust to the rear diffuser and having a flex rake but Mercedes should have known. Using the most accomplished driver in history up to that point to train one of the most promising rookies. Totally didn't pay off.

Stefan Johansson proved during this season that he was the best driver in the 80's and 90's who NEVER got a F1 or Indycar win even though he did win the Le Mans 24hr teaming up with his teammate from 85-86 season with Ferrari and also 91 with Footwork, Michele Alboreto. Taking a car in it's first season with reliability issues and struggling to get out of pre-qual and managing a 5th and more importantly a podium shows that he was a good driver and that the car on it's day was a decent car. Sure they got a bit of luck in those races but even with luck the car and driver still need to be in a position to capitalise on it.

As a Belgian, yeah I heard of it. He is a top icon in Belgian history. Modern copycats like Michel Van den Brande can't touch him in the amount of infamy he had.

Funnily enough Bernie later said 'We aren't some sort of Mafia, we are the Mafia.' And we all know what Max Mosely dressed in... so Van Rossum wasn't totally wrong. Anyways, great vid! Would've loved from you to include the attempted Monteverdi comeback in 1991, but it doesn't make much of a difference :)

What's interesting, is that we sort of had a 'Van Rossem' repeat through William Storey's Rich Energy. Storey not only had the same appearance, and big mouth, but also funded a small team that came out of nothing, with a very dubious brand. And just like Van Rossem, Storey went bonkers when confronted with 'negativity'. However, the difference between Rossem and Storey, was for starters, the era - the late 80s early 90s allowed a far more survivable environment. On top of that, Storey actually was an idiot with a big mouth, so had nothing to fall back on, when Rossem was actually highly intelligent and highly succesful, even though he ran a Ponzi scheme, even though a small note should be made that despite all of that, he was not so business smart in the end. He was smart enough to do the politics game to be immune from punishment, but instead of buying castles, expensive cars, and what more, he should have invested in guaranteed tourism investments with high investment returns, perhaps even in banks or other financial instututes. After all, had he done such a thing, he would have made REAL money instead of the ponzi money. It would take quite a lot of money to cover the scheme, but it could have been done actually.

Great video as always Aldas. Consider using transitions and switching to different soundtracks throughout the video. The continuous background music leads to loss of concentration. You've taken a tip from me before so hopefully this helps!
