I'm so happy to see a new grocery haul from you! I love Aldi but there are always some things I need to grab from another store. It definitely helps the budget though, being able to get whatever I can from Aldi. 😊

I still have to shop at other stores (I get better meat deals at our military grocery store, and there are items I really like that Aldi doesn't carry), but I don't know what I do without my Aldi!

I love Aldi. I wish it was closer to us. :/ we have one 30 mins away that Gabe won't let me go to alone anymore due to a recent targeted shooting in the parking lot. The other one is 40 mins away. I buy a lot of the same things. My kids love the everything bagels, with pizza sauce, cheese and bacon bits..air fried. *The one thing they don't like anymore is the Aldi Mac n cheese. It's gotta be Kraft:)

Oh wow! That's crazy you had a shooting there! And I am going to try the bagel pizzas! I think my kids would love those! I have come to adore my XL air fryer!

The cream cheese is good, but if you make sauce with it, the sauce will be thinner. Also, we like to use english muffins to make pizza.

Good to know! Do you bake the english muffins, or are you air frying them like @rlangford1734 ?

Also my youngest daughter really likes Aldi ranch dressing. I make my own and prefer it

My kids definitely liked it. I do still make my own quite often as well.

I feel like neuchatel tastes the same. But I’m able to change up sour cream with Greek yogurt without issues (however family members aren’t fans of that😂😂)

Ha! I would be one who would not be able to switch sour cream out for greek! But, I did try the cream cheese and was pleasantly surprised!

How many people are you feeding now? I have been following y'all for a while and read the emails but haven't read the homeschool week posts. $200 a week sounds great! That's about how much it takes to feed my family of 9 (baby #7 will be here next month but i already count her 😁).

8 - 3 of which are adults, and 3 of which are growing boys! The 2 little girls still eat like birds. 😁

The creme cheese is good, it’s the only kind I buy. I don’t know how much the shred cheese but I buy blocks and then shred it …less preservatives and it used to be cheaper to do it that way. It is my daughter’s job to shred cheese, that chore was handed down from her sisters who have grown up and got married. This week Kroger has sausage and bacon on sale, part of their buy 5 deals, I stock up when that happens. I make the bacon in my oven or air fryer and then crushed it once it’s crisp, making bacon bits. The other kind was getting too expensive. I have to to examine many things about the way we prepare food and eat, getting the most out of my budget. I also make my own meatballs, we have a cow slaughtered every spring so I have a good recipe for homemade meatballs, I made up a batch last weekend and then cooked them in my crockpot and let them cool, then froze them for later. When my kids were at home, that was some what their jobs as well, food prep, etc but I only have 1 at home now and she helps some, she’s busier than the other 2 were, but I also designate some time on Friday or Saturday to do this kind of thing. Some things I just pop in the over or crock pot. It really does help my grocery budget.

We used to buy blocks of cheese in bulk and I would use an attachment on my Bosch to shred them. I'm not sure if it is any more economical at this point, but I do miss the freshly shredded cheese. And the cream cheese definitely tasted good, so I was glad for that! It is so nice when you have helpers too. I am still so busy with the kids that I do many things out of convenience. I need to enlist them more for sure!

I wonder why Aldi has chosen not to be in certain states. It's such a great store!
