@@storytalk7 Me too! I put leftover soup in them, use them to store dry rice & beans & I put homemade bone broth in them. Goodwill wants $1.99 for an empty mason jar these days. At Aldi you get the jar and the sauce for the same price.

Hi Jennifer, This is my first time seeing your video. I have subscribed now. I shop at Aldi for everything from vegs. to cat. I showed the cat food to a vet friend of mine and he said it was a good product to feed the cats. (2) The canned and the dry type, as well as treats. I have purchased many items from the (Aisle of Shame) as it is nicknamed. From leggings, rugs, candles for gifts, and many other items. If there is ever a problem with anything the return is so easy and can be done at the register. You can get the $ back or have it deducted from your order. It's always good to keep your receipt as with any store. I bought a rug at 1 store, but it was on sale $3 less at the store I was returning it to. I was given the amount I paid by having the receipt. Returns are never a problem there. I am a vegetarian & I appreciate the quality & prices at Aldi. As with any store quality is something the consumer has to check because of shipping, & weather conditions going on where the items are grown. Lettuce hearts are bad everywhere at this time. Aldi still has the best. I use all the dairy items mentioned in this video. I use 1/2 & 1/2 fat free & reg always consistant. Butter, cheeses, guac. hummas etc. I have used Hellmans mayo all my life (70+) and I now use Aldi's Burman Mayo. Hellmans must bottle it for them & use Burman's label. What a money saver. Also salad dressings, mustard, peanut btr, vinegar. I wil aways be an Aldi shopper. I enjoy the clean, organized stores. Also the folks that work there are always friendly & don't mind helping shoppers. Including helping bag groc for elderly & injured people. Also walk them out iif help is needed there. I don't see that at other grocery stores these days. Have a good weekend.

I've been shopping at Aldi since the early 80's. How far it has come!! Just a couple of disagreements: The Simply Nature Marinara Sauce is INFINITELY better, organic and non-gmo, and only costs about .60 a jar more. I don't buy the cheap eggs - only pasture-raised, and Aldi has a fantastic price on them. I don't buy their garlic - mostly from China. Thanks for sharing. Sure does prove there are some true bargains to be had - but also really good quality items at lesser cost as well. Definitely a part of my regular rotation.

When our Aldi first opened here and it was definitely after 2003, most their produce was sourced through local farms and in my personal opinion it was much better!! Bunches of 💐 flowers (Aldi in Australia) In my car I carry a small pair of secateurs & newspaper (to work on & wrap off-cuts), as well as nice jar (I like the Nescafe coffee jars for vases). This allows me to take flowers to someone, nicely arranged & not needing to find something to put them in. If I leave home intending to do this, then I try & find extra greenery to take with me, as this sets the flowers off & you get a larger amount to work with. Great for hospital visits. Just remember to put another jar in your car for next time.

I also get tubs of oatmeal. I grind it in our coffee grinder (never used for coffee), add in spices and use it for bread crumbs. I love the autumn crisp grapes. The one thing they do not have is Fage Greek yogurt. My partner will not eat the Aldi’s option. They do have Helva Good French Onion dip. Also keep on hand for convenience their 90 second microwave 7 grain pouches, for those days there just is no time to prepare similar item from scratch. When their frozen mixed berries 48 oz bags are on sale, I buy and make, preserve, compote and or jams, even made wine😊. Some items are good price and quality consistently, but some like fruit and produce not consistent in quality- freshness, but neither are in other stores. When Aldi has sale on items I use regularly, I stock up . Aldi’s jams have fruit, sugar and pectin, no corn syrup like other store famous brand names, and are better price. I always look for clean, simple ingredients in what I buy and consume. I am sure I have bought many other items from Aldi, some I repurchased and some were not to my taste. I am not a fan of their breads. I know people tell me they love it. I tried, and consumed some, repurchased as well, but not true fan. Sourdough is clean, no junk in it, I just don’t care for the consistency. Too dense? Not sure how else to describe it😊. Love Aldi and do most of my grocery shopping there. I have one other store worth checking out for deals if they are in your area. Publix. The BOGO are all I shop when I go there and you do not need to buy two to get most deals unless they say so in the fine print. I've recently purchased: Pam spray, organic greek plain yogurt, Keifer, chicken breast, bacon, strawberries, etc that were all BOGO and less expensive than Aldi store brand items. So if you are looking for some frugal ways to stock up on basics from time to time and have a Publix near by consider adding them to your list of stores to check out. My favorite find was Barilla pasta last week. .98 per box final cost. I got some for my home and some for the local food pantry.

Since into carb cycling and trying to avoid sugar as much I avoid snacks as a rule. I do like the pretzel sticks but not too often. My rule at Aldi’s is if you see something that looks like a good buy get one and try it. If you love it buy more. This way you find more favorites. Great video! I agree with just about everything you said. If your Aldi carries El Milagro stone ground tortilla chips, give those a try. We didn't care for the regular tortilla chips they carry, but the El Milagros are delicious! Also try the Northern Catch solid white albacore tuna in water. It costs $1.55 per can by us, but it's SO much better tasting and more solid than the brand name flaked (mushy) tuna, which I just won't buy anymore. We also love the whole milk plain Greek yogurt. And we do like the store brand "cheerios" and "chex" cereals and the store brand honey roasted peanuts. I would say we get about 75% of our canned goods, dairy, and produce (and the boneless, skinless chicken breasts) from Aldi, and the rest of our groceries come from Walmart. We get our beef cuts and ground beef from our local IGA, because they seems to have the best tasting meat in our area for a good price.

I buy various wraps there and freeze them to use as needed. I buy their various wild caught fish filets as well as their mussels. I buy nuts there too at great comparative savings. I could go on, but there’s a broad outline.. I do buy spices and beans too, and some meats. On another day I might head to a different local market depending on what I’m looking for. Thx for sharing. I get canned pears (they’re soft not hard like many of the expensive brands) their hummus and some lovely light crispy gf blue chips. Sooo inexpensive and worth the extra stop

I love my Aldi! I could get away with only shopping there if my family didn't like some very specific snacks I have to get at big box stores😅

I get that completely! Some of their snacks are not comparable to other store brands. 🤗

This was such a helpful video! My husband does the Aldi‘s shopping once a week for me since it is right by where he works. I scan the Flipp app and make the list. Since I do not usually go into the store, this was a great resource for me. I guessed $85.00 total for your grocery haul. We LOVE Aldi!!

I'm so glad you mentioned gruyere cheese. I need that but its so expensive at my grocery store that I said "no, not now" so I've been holding this recipe I found till I can find the cheese cheaper elsewhere. I'm actually checking your website because my husband and I plan on going to Aldi. So, thank you for this video.

I’ve never been a fan of canned green beans. I prefer fresh or frozen green beans (fresh preferably when grown in season from my garden). Frozen works great too - roasted in the oven or air fryer is my go to.

I really like the garlic stuffed olives, chocolate mint cookies, romaine, mint chocolate ice cream, cinnamon swirl bread toasted, frozen creme puffs, and the their assortment of lamb and sliced ham in the large size. As for the garlic/parsley salt -- you are much better off to get garlic powder! At Christmas time they have baklava and Wisconsin Kringles!! A couple of years ago I purchased a chair and ottoman that has held up good. Also I bought a light weight sleeping bag for some fishing trips!!! You never know what you may find!!

A friend and I are heading to Aldi this morning, so this came just in time. I added a couple of items to my list based on your recommendations. Funny, my friend's favorite aisle is the one with the misc. items. Also, to me, their pork chops are the best I've found and definitely picking up some sourdough bread.

The aisle with the misc items is called the "aisle of shame". If you've ever bought anything you didn't need from that aisle, you'll understand. LOL

This is my first time watching one of your videos. I wish when you are giving prices you would say the size of the package (i.e. a pint of blueberries for $***) and what the per pound price is for things like meat. That makes the cost comparisons for Aldi vs. my grocery store easier. Thank you.

I love their peanut butter and we like their bagels. We find the bagels toast nicely and we have not noticed the crumb. The price can’t be beat.

I have discovered Aldi's and finally tried them last year...now I too have several staples I get there, that I can't even find in my regular groceries. There's a store one town over for me, so not a far drive. They have many organics my regular groceries don't carry, such as organic cheeses, hummus, chicken sausage and other things. I have also gotten that salsa you mentioned ~ very good. I do wonder what state you are in, because my pricing is higher on some of these things you mention, such as the chocolate, and the salsa, but still much better than regular stores near me. I'm in CT. Things tend to be higher in our area, and the Northeast in general. Ok, got to listen to the rest of your video now...

I love Aldi too! I use their low carb tortillas for crispy egg breakfast sandwiches. I scramble or fry an egg. Pit it on half of tortilla with sausage or ham and cheese making sure it’s not at the edges. Fold over and pop into my wide slot toaster. And their specialty breads and cheeses are awesome. I love their thick bacon including pepper bacon. Thank you!

The instant mashed potatoes are the perfect long term storage food. Under $2 per box. I vacuum seal in Mylar bags or canning jars. I think they are the closest taste to fresh potato mashed.

I just came upon your channel when I saw ALDIs. Things I love to but there are the 12 grain bread, raisin bread, Clancys potato chips, blueberries, salad mixes, Millville snack bars, eggs, butter and milk but not much meat. I like the produce but have to judge every time if it looks fresh or too expensive. Thanks for all your suggestions.

FROZEN GERMAN STRUDEL: Deutsche Kuche, Fruits of the Forest or Apple. Two big strudels (19.2 ounces) for about $3.50. Only problem is they are seasonal, Octoberfest for sure, possibly Spring. Do not buy one box buy about 5 to keep you for the many months they are not in stock. I don' recall any other note above mentioning the frozen strudel. Cannot be beat anywhere! Fantastic...

Love love love Aldi! I only go once a month because both locations that are closest to us (we live in Houston TX) are still pretty far, but I still stock up on stuff. My favorite picks (price-wise) are flour, vegetable oil, red wine vinegar, olives, baby teether snacks and pouches, and cheeses.

My big Aldi buys are: the large "chimichanga" size flour tortillas for my adult daughter, scoopable cat litter, their gluten-free and keto items (Elevation coconut bars are like a Mounds bar but only 2 net carbs), butter if it’s not on deep sale someplace else, heavy cream, oils especially olive and avocado, the $2.69 Emporium cheddar, the Borgonzola and Camembert, eggs, the bags of fresh spinach, the salad kits, jarred garlic in water, mushrooms. I keep a good, old-fashioned price list notebook. I got the idea a decade or two ago from the book series *the Tightwad Gazette*. I hit some good sales elsewhere this month, including bags of avocados with 5 avocados each, 2/$5, and Fiora tp. Ah, you avoid the Aisle of Shame! Yes, the canned green beans are not the best.

I enjoyed your video since I'm an Aldi fan as well. Have you tried their frozen green beans? I think they are great. Also, at holiday time, they have the cheapest sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, celery, and cranberries, and the quality is always good. I also get my old-fashioned oats there. They are cheaper than Walmart. Their boxed cereals are also cheaper and have more cereal in the box.

I go monthly, spend near $100 stocking up on canned goods that help me make casseroles. Nuts, whipped cream as better for diabetics, baking goods, sliced cheeses are going up but i get 12 large slices for $1.99. Potato chips same as Lays, cheaper. Featured veggies are cheaper. Spices are great. I buy near expiration date bread & meat at other grocery stores. I have to check labels for Total Carbs, I get a choice. Love Aldi!

I enjoy the seasonal items before holidays. Waiting for Easter next. I like the German items like German pickles and canned red cabbage. I have a German friend who loves their regular Aldi coffee in one pound bags. She is 90 so buy it for her. I loved their Pumpkin Oat bread in the Fall but haven't found it any more? I don't go very often as live a hour away. Some things are priced the same as Wal-Mart as prices at Aldis have increased. Produce is a hit or miss in my area. Meat is the same as our local chain's sale prices. I also pick up dog treats every visit. Yogurt is also a must.
