Yes, grocery prices are crazy. I used to get a week’s worth of groceries from Aldi for $40-$60 for my family of four a few years ago. Now for the same amount it’s $80-$100 a week. Whatever I can’t get at Aldi I get at my local grocery store or at BJ’s. I shop the sales flyers and use coupons when and where I can.

Prices are back to a new normal. We were extremely low Milk, bread, meat, eggs was the same proie as 2008. Farmers needed a choice of increase they gave it away for years. You missed the train I'd think. It's like 1980 when prices, incomes went up. Everyone knew that after covid it would rise..then find a happy sweet price. Well we are averaging out. I'm older be thru several glitches of up then down from gulf War, to bottom falling out of commercial, to family farms being bankrupt, to gas crises, inflation to now back to a seasonal normal. You will find issues in certain areas but the stores are full. When econ 101 was told by the fed ok we are closing for covid people bulked up starting hoarding which inflated company's like tyson. Now tyson has whole plant shut downs because there's no future growth. Tik tok fed a I'm a chef frenzy...and now everyone expects chef food. Well we are all normal family's you need to buget for special days way in the future again hoping to buy key items on sales. Walmart etc are all vendors except their 2 brands. This isn't walmart its tge vendors saying I want and I'm getting that price point. Don't buy that price point. And they will set a better price point. Econ 101 from college we all remember is demand pushes product abd then company's start making changes to curb that demand raising prices, tiny packages, less product from vendors on the shelves- trucks, and mfg workers are tired you ran them literally we are 24-7 still with overtime in my city 17k workers at 25$ hour. Plus overtime they now have injuries, burn out, and jobs not filled as people don't want to do 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. This is what the be fruitful economy has built it is adjusting now. So thank a trucker, a retail workers, mfg workers they tried to hold on for yiur greed. But now it's wow we have to come back to reality and get a life managed and curb the frenzy. Enjoy your few years a woot it was cheap now it has reset. And later we may have similar issues of no product or wars. Learn from this experience. Learn to be humble, thankful, giving to charity because it's a whim if your family is effected next time. Big eyes, need to be tempered back off the Rollercoaster. We teach our kids, grandkids to be tolerant, go with the flow. Change is good, change is wise. Change is what makes us fearless and humble before God. You are all right, your neighbors are all right, your world us all right, smile move on. Find the basics that make your happy home filled and belly full. I find a salad, sandwich, soup, and then 1 day a big family meal. Returning to that makes you proud of that big meal and who showed up..not what was served.

Grocery prices are insane! I feel like they have gone up this summer too. You have inspired me to keep a running track of what we spend each month on a dry erase board on our fridge….I normally spend a little more in the summer, but am absolutely stunned at our monthly total! Tiffany instead of looking at how much you spent at Aldi today. Add up everything you spend in a month then divide it by 30 (days )then divide that by 3 (meals) divided by 6 (people)I think with how expensive groceries are YOU REALLY ARE NOT SPENDING THAT MUCH TO FEED YOUR FAMILY 3 MEALS A DAY. (The meat you process will be different math factors to add in I break ours down by months )The math will give you HOPE so you don’t get so upset about groceries make sure to not add in animal feed or cat litter. Prices of food are crazy BUT THANK GOD WE CAN STILL AFFORD FOOD. YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB. GOD BLESS FROM WEST CENTRAL INDIANA FARMLAND
