AK22 arrived yesterday, have ordered the KK media d&q and the ProQ frontier basket so will let you know if they fit. Interested in a plancha- not sure why most of them aren’t the full width of the surface? I have a pizza stone (and an Ooni) so it would be for smash burgers etc rather than pizza. It's not something I've ever done. I believe low and slow is the way. 1 to 1.5 row of dots on the bottom vent and the top one hardly open

The media rotisserie has been out of stock for ages but just had one delivered for my AK21. The inner rim doesn’t quite fit so will need bending inwards or shaving down slightly. Minor issue but it won’t fit without some tweaking. Otherwise, looking forward to getting it in action

Hi Ben thanks for Commenting. A couple of points. No rust as its stainless, cast iron you need to keep on top of Seasoning. Bigger surface area over a pan.

There is not a definite answer to your question unfortunately. It seams in 2020 there were 2 different sizes of AK probably 2 different batches. You are the second person to say their kamado is a little small than I quoted. As i don't have any contact worh rhe manufacture anymore I can't comment. However kamado kinds return policy is fantastic so if you buy and and things don't fit you can't easily return.

Maybe a weber kettle and a chimney starter would be better for you. You can light the chimney and have coal ready in 10 to 15 mins dump that in tbe kettle and you are ready to cook in another 5 mins. It completely depends what sort of things you want to cook.

Have you tried a rotisserie basket with your Kamado kings media skewer?

I don't have the rotisserie unfortunately as I have a 2019 model and they don't fit. I've used a AK rotisserie I just don't own one

Hi Tom, I've just purchased my Aldi Kamado and it says it is the 03/2022 model. The diameter of the opening is only 18 inches, so the details given at 09:30mins mean none of the items will fit. Do you think I've been sent an old model?

@Steve & Jane lloyd-jones the mini is a different kamado to the one I used and it doesn't come witha deflector. Speak to Steelsmokin.co.uk for a metal deflector

Do not buy the BBQ gloves linked in the description. They're not an official Inkbird product as claimed, and they dont work.

Thanks for your opinion. These are an Inkbird product as my original pair was sent from Inkbird to test and I've also had no issues at all. I will pass on your feedback for my Inkbird representative.

@@BBQLIFE Thanks for replying. The item doesn't say Inkbird on the glove, but it does say it on the box. There's a QR code, but it goes to the Inkbox website and there is no mention of the gloves at all. They do little to protect from heat. I'm not happy with the gloves, but to end on a positive, I'm very happy with my new AK, & I enjoy your videos.
