Parts needed for the conversion:
FERREX Brushed (WWS-ASS20-SP)
- Washer. Link: www.aliexpress.com/item/10050...
- Bushing (the one used in the video was a Od=24, Id=16, H=15, however I recommend getting a bushing with an Od=25mm and then just taking off some material with sandpaper until it is a tight fit with the casing. The 24mm one is a bit less than 24mm and in some cases that will be problematic.) Link: www.aliexpress.com/item/10050... (Select 16x25x15)
- Anvil. Search term is "Anvil Worx WU278" I recommend you look at other seller for a cheaper price, because I am sure they increase prices on a regular basis. Also please remember to remove 1mm off the bottom of the anvil. As I showed in the video there is a difference. I sent mine to be machined down from 6mm to 5mm. However I have made the same change to the measurement with a bench grinder - be careful and take it slow. Make sure it is the exact same size throughout. Don't forget to grease everything before putting the tool back together. After assembly make sure the anvil moves freely by hand.
Ferrex Pro (FID 20-I BL)
As said in the video, this is the easiest job by far.

Open up the front casing, remove the old anvil and insert the new one. Remember that the washer stays in place and is needed with the new anvil too. Grease it up and put it back together. Once again after you have assembled the tool make sure the anvil moves freely by hand before going after the rustiest bolt in sight.

This is the best KZbin video on Aldi Ferrex Active Energy tools which are a very good cheap high current delivery battery system helped by the 2 parallel terminals from battery to drill diuretic current is 20v when using 20/40v battery which is best for heaver jobs.

Thank you for being so king to this video! I did give it my best at the time to show Ferrex fans what can be done with these tools. I still have them and get some occasional use out of the Pro one. I love it! Also I got the PRO version 40V hammer drill and I love that as well! It is a really powerful drill with the 40V system!

Ferrex did make a 1/2 inch impact wrench that advertised 400 nm I own one I got it last year before they stopped selling tools online at Aldi special buys

Yes, they have a 1/2“ impact wrench. However is quite pricey on ebay at the moment, that is why I gave this option a go. I don‘t think it‘s too bad actually. I have not tried the 400Nm one what is it like? Does it feel like it has the 400Nm?

The 1/2 anvil looks way more at home with the Ferrex units then it does with the parkside. For the price difference Id say the Ferrex pro is really good

The regular FERREX looks suspiciously similar to the Parkside 180 Nm impact driver, does the same conversion apply with the Parkside? Can you make a video about that? A comparison would be intresting too. I love your work, thank you👌

Absolutely I will make a video! I am just waiting for more anvils to arrive, because I want to convert a couple of different Parkside tools, after which we will test them. The Ferrex does look similar, however since I have not done that on the Parkside yet I can't say for sure if the size of the bushing is EXACTLY the same. Otherwise the washer is the same and the anvil will need to be the same dimensions as specified in this video.

I am Team parkside. Im so happy with the conversion on my b3. Ive thought maybe I buy 2nd one and let it sit aside and dont convert because of warranty etc :)

If this helps your case I have 3 of them 😂 Converted B3 and C3 and a non converted B3. However I got them for the videos. Currently the most used one is the C3, because I want to see if it will last.

The B3 I find is better. More power and the mode buttons I like better. But yes not like we have a choice anymore.
