I like how Envy is so small, because being jealous makes you feel small and overshadowed... Meanwhile Embarrassment is huge because when you're embarrassed you feel like you can't hide and everyone can see you.

Joy is like, the perfect Pixar protagonist. Her belief that there dosen't have to be so many problems and just avoid them makes her very compelling
@jacksonbarkerthebluehairedfoxАй бұрын
2 things I like about this movie: 1. Anxiety isn't stupid. When her plans start to fall apart, she's able to put two and two together and realize that Joy and the gang escaped. Considering how one of her character traits is literally overthinking to such an absurd degree, it makes sense that they'd be able to deduce that. 2. Their depiction of a panic attack is extremely accurate. I've had a panic attack before, and they way they depicted it describes what happens mentally during one perfectly. How anxiety goes into overdrive and shuts out any other emotion, the deluge of bad memories associated with the trigger for the attack, the shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat.

To me Inside Out 2 reminded me of what Pixar was and still can be. The movie reminded me of how during my childhood I let my anxiety get the best of me. I would also recommend of watching DreamWorks Animation Puss In Boots: The Last Wish as it also deals with handling anxiety. I can't wait to see The Wild Robot from Chris Sanders who directed Lilo and Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon.

Having too much of any emotion can harm. Too much joy makes us delusional Too much anger makes us violent Too much sadness makes us depressed Too much fear makes us petrified Too much disgust makes us dissonant Too much anxiety makes us panic Too much envy makes us greedy Too much embarrassment makes us shameful Too much boredom makes us apathetic Too much nostalgia makes us discontented A healthy amount of emotions is necessary to keep us sane.

I actively avoided this movie because it was a Disney sequel, but after seeing it with my sister and Niece, I can solidly say that this may be one of their best films yet.

I'm glad this movie showed joy as delusional. This is such an understudied topic in physchology, "Is happiness good? Should we always be happy? Is there such thing as being to happy?", because the truth is, because of culture, we understudie the things we see as positive and not as much of an effect. Your emotions are supposed to regulate you, to much of one or another is neglecting your inner feelings & self.

I love that anxiety drinks energy drinks and coffee bc caffeine tends to make anxiety worse. When shes about to enact a plan, she drinks caffeine which makes her work harder, and people with anxiety who drink caffeine's anxiety works harder

Maybe that want happens when you grow up, you feel less Joy One of the most devasting lines I heard it's so sad, but it's true Inside Out 2 has joined the sequels better than the original ❤
@a.jthomas6132Ай бұрын
As a grown up, this hits me so hard. Because life gets harder and more complicated as you graduated from High School. And it ain't as fun as you have when you are a teen, and you have little friends and small connections than the one you use to have. Being a college or university student is much more challenging and requires a ton of expectations. There are time I wish I could go back relive the moments that bring me joy.

Did you notice. I'm not good enough, Anxiety's face? She wants the same as Joy to protect her but when she heard those words you can tell it crushed her inside, its in the animation. A mix of happiness then confusion turned into sadness. She didnt want Reilly to say those words she wanted something else, her voice even cracked if you picked it up wh-what? Edit: i need help some*joy hugs her* times..This made me cry

Really hoping Zootopia 2 takes notes from the IO series and the first Zootopia film. If it keeps with the mature themes/message, I can see it taking IO2's spot as the highest-grossing animated film.

With inside out, it helped give people an imaginative platform to explore how they feel for themselves. What would their own emotions be like in their minds and how they go about with the person they are part of. It is a shame that in the first and even in the second film that the emotions in other people's heads are similar to that of Rileys. Her parents' version of the emotions are parodies with their respective person's features added on (ex. the mother and her joy's hair are the same). While they did try to make these different sets of emtions different. I would not think that it did these characters any favours. The animals from the credit scene like the cat and dog were a bit more true to their roles. Since it would not work to just have an grumpy square be anger in animal form. Or a blue blob for sadness. I get it if the angle was that Riley takes after her parents, so her emotions would have some traits in common with her parents. But with emotions. It might not be that simple to have one's "joy" be the same as your parents. Because how one's personality develops are not the same as one's parents.

I saw it but honestly didn't think it was the "greatest thing ever made". For sequels sure it was good but it really felt like the main emotions just didn't do much but be play off for joy. Anger has fire powers that could have solved half the movie Anxiety was good being a more controlling person than joy but with using the negatives of Riley instead but envy and co weren't really doing much for me

Pixar sequels are hit-and-miss for me. Toy Story 2 and 3 are great, and we all agree with that. Monsters University was a prequel but is my favorite out of all of them. Cars 3 was surprisingly good, and I really enjoyed it. Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2 were terrible, Finding Dory was mediocre, and Cars 2 was an entertaining movie but an awful sequel. I'm so glad Inside Out 2 was great.

For the record, Finding Dory, Incredibles 2, and Toy Story 2, 3, and 4 are known to be the best sequels Pixar has ever made, the only bad ones were Cars 2 and Lightyear, although maybe Monsters University does feel unnecessary at this point. Anyway, what really makes Inside Out 2 the best Disney sequel after Frozen 2 is a very good tearjerker (the emotional embrace scene/restoring Riley's Sense of Self), I hope this, or Moana 2 if it turned out successful after Encanto, win an Oscar next year, and yes I'm excited for Incredibles 3 coming soon, yet a little worried about Toy Story 5, since hypothetically this feels like an unnecessary sequel to the franchise due to cash grabbers, or anything Hollywood does to make things worse.
