Stop mixing prisoners with a 2-5 year sentence with inmates that has 10 years to life! It’s too simple but greed, free labor and corruption stops that!

I believe just the opposite. Put all the ilk of society in one big cage. No matter the crime or ones status and station in life. They made their choices, let them live with their decisions. They've had 18+ yrs to learn what is legal and acceptable in society. They freely chose to not conform. So they freely decided prison life was for them.

@@roberthubbard7827 drug prohibition is unconstitutional according to the language in the repeal of alcohol prohibition. It is unfortunate that people like you are such boot licking statists who are comfortable with the rights of your fellow citizens being violated and then subjected to horrible punishments instead of “rehabilitation”. I’d like to spend a few minutes alone with you because it is obvious that you could use an attitude adjustment.

@@roberthubbard7827 I definitely disagree. I was doing 6 months for shock probation for having 20 pain pills. I was on probation and got a dirty drug screen for pain pills and sent to prison. @@artofficial2010 Why can't they have different tiers of security? Like a minimum security prison that encourages good behavior where you don't have to worry about rape or gang problems, but you have to stay behind walls so you can't access drugs. I know what the Conservatives will say to this. They will say they don't want to turn prison into a hotel resort. I'm not saying to turn it into a hotel resort, but allow extra amenities for those prisoners displaying good behavior. Like access to the internet, gyms, libraries, etc. If you break rules in prison and start raping or gathering contraband or fighting, then you have to go to a regular prison where the security is more strict. Something like 3 levels of security: minimum security, moderate security, and maximum security for dangerous inmates. I know conservatives will say this costs too much, but states can share resources for prison system. For example, you could have a max security prison that is across 5 states.

Well, it makes sense. The staff have probably never gone to prison before (I know, I know. They technically go to prison everyday but you know what I mean). They have no personal experiences to speak freely about. I hear what you're saying though. I've never been to prison either, and I personally hate criminals. But even I still found what those cons in this video were saying 1000x more genuine and trustworthy than the staff.

What they don't tell you is this: I did 2 years in draper state prison in Alabama (prison now closed) I was there at 22 years old with a poss with intent charge, bunking right next to other inmates in their 20s with multiple capital murder cases, that are NEVER getting out, who will kill you simply because you HAVE a release date, this system turns you into an animal and a predator, because if you're not a predator, you're prey. My 2nd month in an inmate sliced my arm with a razor giving me 26 stitches, his reason? He wanted to be moved to another location of the prison. U wanna survive and go home? Respect is key , but never trust anyone, keep your head on a swivel, and be prepared to defend yourself with violence

I know a lot of people who have been inside and they all say the exact same thing… everyone is always testing you and probing for weakness. Especially as a brand new inmate when you are on everybody’s radar. If you are tested and don’t stand up for yourself you basically get marked as easy prey and you will start to have abuse hurled at you from all angles and it just never stops until you leave, assuming you even make it out alive. Well in several European countries they release that locking people up for years and denying them sexual release, hell even penalizing masturbation isnt exactly great for mental health so they make it a prisoners right to have sex. they can have their wives, girlfriends, or in some places even hire a prostitute to come in. I bet prisoners here would be better behaved if they had regular access to their wives and girlfriends and knew if they mess up they ll lose it. Also it might cut down on the number of divorces. Imagine you just got sentenced to 5 years in prison your mental state probably isnt the greatest then you learn your wife is divorcing you?? why not stab that annoying cell mate then?

Dave Smith I agree. Our prison system is so screwed up. It's run by sadists who get off on cruelty. The prisoners live in inhumane conditions- gangs attacking the weak, the threat of rape, no conjugal visits, guards who turn a blind eye to inmate suffering, long sentences for non violent crimes like drug possession, murderers and rapists sharing cells with non violent prisoners. What a nightmare!

They knew I had hatred towards people who abuse others and yet they put a wife beater in my cell with me. I beat him so bad the first day they put him in there my knuckles were swollen for three weeks, another time they put a child molester to clean the halls and I grabbed him by the shirt and pounded him into my cell. I pulled him into my cell so many times, my arms got tired and I dropped him before the guards even helped him. Although the guy was screaming out for help, none of them did. I got two extra years for beating these sick fucks, and I’m positive the guards did it on purpose. They also house the weak with the ranking members so they get raped and become bitches.

Interesting. When I went to prison 20 years ago I, my orientation covered the absolute bare minimum. I was in a level 1 security prison for 48 days. I was a "shortie"...time to serve. I am gay but carry myself appropriately and I had zero problems doing my time. I never saw anything going on between inmates, but wasn't looking for it either. I've been out 20 years and ZERO interactions with the criminal justice system!

Were you in good physical shape? Just curious. I'm not talking about being locked up but in my experience from going from being thin to athletic, I don't get bullied anymore now that I'm athletic. I'm actually pretty buff. I used to get bullied a lot for my size and people would comment on how thin I was and do things like cut me off and interrupts and just basically push me out of the way in public. That hasn't happened in years ever since I started lifting heavy weights. Obviously size would have a lot to do with it, so it seems. But also Spirit as well because I know some big ass buff dudes that could get broke down if they got locked up just because they're gentle Giants and don't have a mean bone in their body but for a gay or (closeted gay)prison felon that would be a fantasy come true, sadly

Men being raped in prison and other institutions is a serious, widespread issue that is rarely talked about. Men's rights groups try to discuss this and are shouted down or bullied into silence by the 'tolerant' feminists. Rape of women is taken extremely seriously in our society, but rape of men is the subject of many jokes. It's sad they even have to make a video like this. The state of New York has a similar video for incoming prisoners, and the narrator unfortunately is speaking from his own experience of being drugged and gang-raped when he was younger and committed a minor crime that he had to do a stint in prison for. I hope anyone who is the victim of this gets the help and protection they need.

I'd like to go to Germany, but admission is easier elsewhere, and homes are cheaper. I've researched a few countries for retirement purposes. I don't fall into the category of people who wind up in US prisons, but it is still a hazard. I have some time to prepare. I could buy a home in the Czech Republic for under $20,000. And spend a further $80,000 installing solar power, solar water heating, and backup wind power. Many buildings in CZ are a classic style of construction and the landscape is beautiful. One has to look out for factories nearby, to avoid pollution. If you look on Google Maps, the streets are very clean and well-maintained. The workforce/citizens are educated, healthy, and high-functioning. The GDP to external debt ratio isn't great, but I value the talent and education of citizens most. Ten million citizens is the sweet spot for population size. The country is a good size, the topology is varied, flooding is only a medium hazard. People of means need to start looking around, and preparing accordingly. The social contract in the United States will keep deteriorating. At a population of 325,000,000 with a wasteful state and federal system, things will only get worse.
