Yes, he is explaining a very traumatic experience while tweeked as fuck. I'm not taking anything away from his story but he is clearly high and needs help. You are just ignorant to it and that is OK. I am going to assume and shouldn't assume but, his experiences while locked up are now probably driving his addiction. Which is the new nightmare chapter in his life.

As for the hypothetical I wouldn't have been able to sentence him to any more time because manslaughter " usually" carries around, "2-5yrs" well the actual fact of the matter is that he took a life that's pretty cut and dry, and I think he only served 1 yr so that in an of it's self left more time that he could have been sentenced to serve, I mean hey he earned it right? We WANT to stop it but when you leave humans locked in a cage all day, they have nothing better to do than figure out how to break rules. You have no idea what kind of people we deal with daily. Everyone i work with HATES these rapists and we hate the fact that people are so scared they wont admit who raped them even more!

If an inmate rapes another inmate in prison, they should be taken out in the yard and shot immediately, in front of all the other inmates. I guarantee it would put an immediate stop to it.

Truth, guys: Under the wrong circumstances, what happened to this man could happen to ANY man. Anyone can be overpowered, whether outnumbered, injured or drugged. A story like this should make people take a hard look at their own character and ask themselves how they would get through it. Austin, respect, man ✌

Absolutely! Alot of men think, "...that would never happen to me. I'm a strong guy, I would never let any man or men for that matter rape me." But the truth is, even if you are a big guy, you really can't defend yourself if there are multiple men involved. You're out numbered and they can definitely overpower your strength. So fucking sad.

Austin did his sentence and if you don’t like the laws we have a legislative process to change that. He didn’t deserve to be gang raped no matter what he did. Have you ever messed up and hurt someone accidentally? Probably. Would that person want you to be miserable and suffer the rest of your life? I personally pity all the people who have hurt me, abused me, done unimaginable things to me and I would much rather than try and be happy than live in misery and spread their misery around to others. Austin didn’t mean to do his crime although it was very dumb and he is making amends by telling this horrifying and embarrassing story to warn other young people how serious the choice to drink and drive is. Would you rather him just kill himself and not spread his message? He deserves to be happy too
