Hi Chris, Thank you. it wont, as far as I am aware. The Control4 app wont phone a tablet device, and this is classed as a tablet - but you would just use the Akuvox native calling to answer calls.

Will the app stay open until I decide to switch to the system's home screen or is it similar to an Echo Show where after some time of inactivity the app closes and the home screen opens automatically? I ask because the idea here is to keep the Home Assistant app open 100% of the time, being able to turn off the screen when not in use but relight the screen in the Home Assistant app when approaching or interacting with the screen.

Im not aware of an App Timeout, but you can choose the have a selected app open upon start up, and be the primary app open, even after a call
