I love how Chris' first instinct when he knows he has no excuse is to run away. Rather than admit to being a hypocrite or own up to his failure to make good on a promise. Pretend his mom is calling him so he can end the call.

i'd say Chris's biggest failing is his refusal to urgently deal with a problem even maturely. Sonichu in on itself is his ultimate haven to rewrite history and where he can do what he does in real life without getting chastised for it. It's why I'm baffled at why people defend his actions as even the most harden white knights have given up thanks to his refusal to listen to anyone as he's someone who never realized that the stove is hot and you shouldn't keep touching it.

This is why I think Alec was as good of a troll as Liquid. Liquid poked fun at his ego whereas Alec used his "logic" against him. And since Chris wasn't raised to self-reflect, all Chris can do is run like a coward.

Chris was pretty much raised on cartoons. And seeing that he had pretty much no social interaction, he probably learned a lot of stuff from cartoons, and thinks that's how people act in real life. Actually, he believes cartoons ARE real life!

@@ShOscar he readily admits COUNTLESS times throughout his recorded conversations and chats with other people that he "learned" what he "knows" about almost anything comes from media consumption. From sex(porn), to religion, to inter-personal relationships of any kind, to law/politics/history, EVERYTHING it really is maybe the saddest part of Chris's existence. It's all him internalizing ludicrous notions from TV, video games, and internet what it means to be a person and when things didn't fit neatly into his desired paradigms as he interacted with the world around him he retreated further into his own cartoon inner world. Bob greased the wheels for Chris through childhood by bribing and interceding for Chris, and Chris himself had a few brief moments of clarity as a young adult where he tried to "go out" and join society but a combination of his selfishness, weakness, addiction to fiction AND in no small part some real rejection from society (most deserved but some not as much), it seems he finally completely snapped and gave up. I'm sure that the above is written horribly, I did no first draft or revisions and just spewed out everything at once. Hopefully it still makes enough sense and is relatively readable.

Chris is such a manchild, he can’t take criticism, can’t take the pressure of someone else calling him out on his bullshit and always needs an excuse. Like in this call where he pretended to be his mother so he could wash his hands of the whole affair. It’s obvious he saw this in a cartoon and thought it would actually work in a situation like this. But the worse thing about this guy is his constant pulling of the autism card whenever he’s in deep shit or gets bad grades in school. Now I’m someone that’s in the spectrum, I’ll be honest I’m not that sever but it’s still there. Thing is throughout my life I was told that “autism is a reason and not an excuse.” You know what that means? It means that yes I have it and yes sometimes it’ll make things difficult for me but I should not use it as a get out of trouble card. Unlike CWC here who continuously uses it just for that instead of taking responsibility.

I'm a big fan of "explanation not excuse" I remember having that epiphany myself as a kid and it really helped me (in general not necessarily specific to being on spectrum although I've had my suspicions about myself before lol)

Alec is just some guy who made a comic called Asperchu, which is essentially a parody of Chris (although Alec disputes this), and is what caused Chris to be so hostile to Alec even as far as to use death threats and slander against him. So in a series of phone conversations, Alec tries to resolve whatever strife or grudge Chris has against him, basically reproaching him for his actions against Alec's group, trying to understand and help Chris, negotiating and compromising with Chris, etc. Chris learns nothing through these calls.
