Before Christmas last year my family decided to go back to where I was born and on the 3rd day there we got to see my cousins and my niece (my cousins are all round the ages 6-2 and my niece is 1) and when we got there we were all talking about what we wanted for Christmas some other family members came and we all were excited because Christmas was only 5 days away. My family were talking about me and my depression because it had gotten worse while I was playing with my niece my cousin came up to me and she said “Why is my mummy and Aunty and your mummy saying you have something wrong with you?” And I answered with “there talking about my battle” She asked “what battle? Did you fight someone?” I simply said no that’s when she asked about the battle and I said Some people go through things in there life were there sad and feel lonely she instantly said that I’m not lonely and I have my family and friends (she’s 5) then I explained to her, I went through a different battle were I pretended I was ok when really I wasn’t I hide my emotions for years and no one noticed until I got battle scars at first she was confused then I showed her my arms she wondered how I got it and I said I went through I long battle I then explained the basic sadness and she said I hope you don’t feel lonely no and I said I feel lonely sometimes but I don’t when I see you and your cousins and brothers faces smiling at me and making me feel happy.

I love how easy it is for someone to become obsessed with Alec's music. I told my coworker to listen to his songs and she's convinced that he writes about her actual life. Especially with this song and Use Me, she says he literally gets her like no one else does. Alec just seems like a really empathetic person, which helps his storytelling a lot. God what a talented person
