I absolutely ADORE how the song can translate the animation in different ways. Giving up things for a child, not feeling loved, turning away from your family for relief, getting out of a bad situation, and living. Like if you just listen to the song you may only get one or two "versions" of it, but adding the story of the pictures just challenges your thoughts of the words, and adds so much more. I love it so much

To be honest, Anson is one of the best singers/musicians out there and I don't hear a SINGLE ONE of his songs played on radio stations yet. People who work in places like that better step up their game, cause Anson is out here singing BEAUTIFUL lyrics and music and they still don't play his music. You likely won't ever see this, but I just wanted to say - you're incredible. This was the first song I heard by you, and it led me to so many others. As a college kid struggling to find direction (and actually living in Ann Arbor, sitting under flashing traffic lights at 3am) "Somewhere in Ann Arbor" just cuts through to my soul in the most beautiful way possible. It lets me cry when I need to do so. And "Trying My Best" helps me hold on. Anson, I have no clue where I'm going in life. But your music makes me feel like I'm not alone. So thank you.

Trust me ending it will not help I know that’s hard to see right now I don’t know what your going through but I understand your in pain and just want to find a way out and a way to stop the pain your feeling but ending it really isn’t worth it you may not feel loved right now but people will miss you there will cry and blame themselves your life is worth living it’s gets easier it may not seem like it right now but it will it might take weeks or months to feel better and enjoy life again but it’s going to be worth it in the end years from now you will be able to look back and see how strong you are and how brave you have become and be able to say I’ve made it just take it day my day I know that’s easier said then done but just try and hold on because trust me if you try to end it you will regret it the second you do and there is no going back just keep fighting your so brave and strong x❤️
