I literally prayed and asked for a word this morning while I was outside a verse came to my head “ Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” - Matthew 6:26 and I just came across this! Let me tell you every point you touched on I asked for clarity on. I truly believe this was it!💕 thank you for sharing. He definitely used you in a beautiful way, I’m sure it helped many others as well

23:00 is the story of my life. I have been waiting far too long to have things just right in my life, in every aspect of my life, that I have missed out on so much. I have robbed myself of so much because I felt it wouldn't be worthy unless it was absolutely perfect! I'm trying to get out of that each and every day.

Alecia, you’re truly an inspiration to a 60-year old woman who has worked very hard since the age of 18. I truly relate to you now that I’m retired and life has gotten better. My question is how can young people with goals of like achieving home ownership achieve their goals without putting themselves in stressful situations due to monetary constraints? Thanks

Ever since I got married I have not invested into myself because I was overcompensating for my husbands lack of in certain areas . I’ve been having scarcity mindset towards myself the whole time . I definitely have issues with scarcity and abundance. Feeling like I have to rush to fix things, rush to get to wherever it is I'm trying to get to. My issue for a long time is that I honestly don't know anymore, what I really want and love to do with my time. I've become so used to devoting all my time to trying to fix my life and get a "respectable" job. It is hard to let go of that.

The way I subscribed before the video even started. This NEEDS to be talked about by a Black person - there is a unique way society/cultural pressure and scarcity mindset is another generational curse. Initially used for survival by our mothers and grandmothers, a lot of us cannot seem to shake it.

14:31 I have this problem too but not for the same reason. I just feel like I’m severely behind in my life, and I’m trying to get there before time runs out for me. This is not healthy either, but I do pride myself on always being truthful even if the truth hurts...
@Journey2NNERPEACE2 жыл бұрын
You’re not behind. You’re right where you need to be so that you can continue to ponder on and get clear about where you want to go.

4:00 that is beautiful. I have a hard time with that I am some what of a hoarder, not like the show, but for me it’s hard to let things go because the things tie to a specific memory and in my subconscious it feels like if I let the things go, I’ll lose the memory. Example like this couch my mother bought me and it was falling apart and finally I had to move and I tried to move the couch but when we did it completely fell all the way apart. I had to throw the couch away and you would think I was mourning the couch like I mourned when my mother died, but it was the thought that, that’s the last couch my mother would ever buy me. Letting go...

Thank for this, I always stop myself in exploring my projects cause I don't have an audience, how will I earn money from this, I dont the materials that other people do to reach their goals faster. This reminded me as long as I start is what's important. other excuses is stopping me from doing the stuff I like. Another thing is u provide something unique, so we shouldn't be worried about people beating us to the punch. Dont rush ur craft because of scarcity mindset. And yes to the charging!!!! For one of my projects that I was originally gonna charge for to help me fund it. I was surprised by how many people were willing to pay. I decided to hold off on it but finding my audience gave me the confidence to do the same for another project (that hopefully I can turn into my job). Yall will be surprised on what folks r willing to pay for just gotta find ur audience. Yes for the perfectionism!!!

9:53 that’s another one of my problems not because I want to, but because it’s the way I have had to survive all these years, it’s the only way that I have found to be able to do all the things we have to do and some of the things we want to do. I find myself rushing all the time. Rushing to work, rushing home from work, rushing my art, cus it’s time to go back to work, rushing time with family, and it creates this feeling of never being in the moment. Feels like I’m every where at once, and no where at all...

Hello. I have so much to say, but don't want to over say. As a music producer I thought that I needed to purchase the most expensive DAWs out there, and the most expensive midi player as well. I didn't. My music productions are made with equipment that I understand. My success has been the ability to distribute my visual, audio, and writings with the world. This is success to me. I don't think that money will help me with everything, because it doesn't. It's part of being able to pay for what I need, but I'm not greedy about having it. There is a big difference in how I see money. I know how to deal with it now that I had all of my life experiences. Nothing has to be perfect not my art. I have never done things for keeping up appearances either. I know what you mean.

Every time I come into this space, we are always on the same page, in the same thought process...and I thank you for that!! Scarcity also shows up in our relationships. When you think that there is sooo much competition, I see women showing and doing the most toxic behaviors in order "keep a man". There is no shortage of men, there are men everywhere!! don't let the toxic manosphere tell you different and convince you to live in scarcity.

1:03 I kinda came to a revelation similar to that this morning. For the last few years I have been struggling with the fact of what I want to be a life and what I am. I went back to school to finally pursue my dreams officially and upon graduating during the shut down I feel like I got thrown off my course and I got stuck working my 9-to-5 theme park job. Now that I have been out of school for two years and I’m deeper and deeper into my job in theme Park I started feeling like I need to just let this dream of doing the career that I went to school for go because I’m getting further away from that and getting deeper into the 9 to 5 rat race. And when I’m deep in that 9 to 5, there is less and less time for me to create. I got off late last night so unmotivated and drove home very depressed and I told myself that if I want to be happy I am going to have to be able to be happy being that theme Park worker that I am because the other thing that I want to do (be a creative/ graphic designer) is just not working. I hate it but if I truly want to be happy in my life again I have got to learn to accept where I am. And like you said, what if it gets no better?...
