Even if Will's touch Mark is not on it historically the master Smith is typically the only touchmark on a blade. Most historical blades with a touchmark from a master Smith that was produced in there shop would of been produced by there apprentice. Not to say I know the dynamics of there shop but it would provide a answer to your question / statement.

@@maz7621 $19,500 as per their site. Seems like this was a much better investment in time, as it didn't take as long to complete. But you can argue that they got other value from it as well in learning how to cast, and a few other skills they can put into other projects. The Viking Sword was around 21k for those that are curious.

I'd love to see more rubies in future pieces, especially on ones with coffee etched damascus, and pieces utilizing brass/gold. That red pairs with those colors really well and could turn out a beautiful piece. I absolutely loved how the final piece turned out btw! The antique polish turned out much better than the patina in my opinion, really didn't see that coming. Great job!

the piece turned out really nice. you are one heck of a craftsman to be such a young person. i would love to see you make a short sword with out using all the fancy tools you have. using the power hammer to forge the billet is one thing , but hand forge the rest. using the basic tools to make the finished blade

Make a Roman pugio (dagger) and gladius (18-20 inch sword) between the two, the 30+inch swords of the French and British were beaten more times than not. Both elegant, efficient designs.

The pattern weld u put on the chefs knife is my favorite. Here's why. The best, most skillfull warriors, especially samurai, would have blood on only the first 6 inches of their blade. The Damascus pattern of the chefs knife would serve so very well, in trying to perform bladesmanship with such accuracy. With all love and respect I say, pls make a sword with it, whether Japanese or European or whatever! Much love from the us!

For jewellery purposes I was always taught to clean the pieces very thoroughly with a toothbrush after sand blasting as embedded particles can absorb oil from your hands! Might be worth trying out!

If you'd like to be able to maintain any given finish (such as the recessed patina, the bight polishes, etc), look into Renaissance Wax. It's great stuff.
