That was about the best demo for ANY Alembic I've ever heard. You work that Bass like it's an extension of your own being. Beyond competent playing. I've been playing my Jazz Bass for about 7 years and have been looking at these...and have been trying to justify in my mind how I *need* a 4th Bass. Damn near sold me tonight....

I swear by Alembic, and I own several, but whoever removed the original pre-Amp is stupid! It’s robbing that bass of its True Tone’s, and it’s the most important part of an Alembic. Their electronics is where they started when they were working for the Greatful Dead and built their wall of sound. Then they started building pre amps and putting them in Gibsons.

@@LONGCASTLE777 It's been a while since I visited their website. I have a late 90's model Europa. I had the electronics replaced by Mr. Wickersham (founder of Alembic) himself. A few years later those electronics started acting up again. I was leary about replacing the electronics because I thought it would diminish the value of the instrument if I wanted to sell it.
