There is theory among Dinamo fans, actually not a theory anymore it was confirmed by numerous sport journalists in Croatia that Alen father was too greedy for money and it was him insisting that Alen join Barcelona in sucha young age, which turn out to be too much for him, leading him eventually to his doom. That same journalists was feeding him with superlatives on daily basis, comparing him with Messi all the time which struck Alen and give him extra weight on his young sholders. At the time he joined Barca , expectations was way too high and he got lost somewhere on the way. Only god knows where woud be his limits if he stayed in Dinamo Zagreb and went slowly step by step.

There's only one place for offensive midfielder and Croatia already has Luka Sucic who's 22 year old playing for Sociedad with numerous big clubs interested, Martin Baturina who's 21 year old hot prospect from Dinamo Zagreb who already rejected few 30mil€ offers for him and of course Modric and Kovacic who can fill in.

Such a shame his career derailed after barcelona got rid of him, he was good in sporting gijon, but after that all the clubs he signed for were a huge mistake. All he needed is a club that would just give him a chance to play and so happy he found that in fortuna that has been great for our croatian players. Even as he is approaching his 30s i still believe he can sign for a stronger club and leave a mark there, I think his renaissance is also good for our national team, as we struggle to find and standardize our right winger, think alen definitely deserves to be back and to get a chance to play for our national team. So wish him well, hope he stays until the end of the season in fortuna and then goes to a bigger club to stay in form and try to level up his game. Think spain or germany would be excellent for his skills and talent. Good luck Alen 💪🇭🇷
