Aleppo Soap, the Authentic Natural Soap, 40% Laurel Berry Fruit Oil - Hot Process-Swan Soap and Such
This is my first attempt to make this historical natural soap by the HOT PROCESS method.
From SoapHistory.Net
"Aleppo Soap originated from the Syrian city of Aleppo, one of the most oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world that has stood in its place for more than 8 thousand years, being witness to the rise and falls of many empires, expansion of the culture across the world and the bridging of the connections between east and west at the start of European renaissance. This ancient city thrived on trade for thousands of years, and was famous for being the endpoint of the famous Silk Road that bridged East and the West world before the advancement of sea trade routes in the “Age of Sail”.
One of the most important trade items of the city of Aleppo is without a doubt their unique soap that was made by the generations of merchant families and manufacturers for thousands of years. Formula and manufacturing process for this highly prized soap did not change over time and is still today preformed in its original form - olive oil, sweet bay oil and water are mixed with sodium hydroxide, heated and then left to cool. Soap is cut from the form, and then left to age in the shade for minimum of seven months, during which time soap will change its color from green to its trademark brown.
People from all around the world who visited Aleppo quickly realized that the claims of the soap salesman are true. Natural and biodegradable Aleppo soap is one of the most famous beauty products of the old age, natural moisturizer and humectant, so pure in its form (it has no preservatives, chemical additives or fragrances) that it is used by many for washing babies."

Amazing video Cynthia, and thanks for including the tips there! This is a soap I am planning on making soon, I thought to cure only for 6 months, but I guess it is like the pure olive oil bar, the longer the cure the better! Have a great day dear soapy friend 💖💖

TFS…I’ve made ‘Aleppo-type” soap 3 times and made it differently each time🤣…30% laurel berry/50% laurel berry and 70%(read online that authentic soap is actually 70%) I also cook the evoo first and then add laurel berry and I have also added cocoa butter….I love it for myself😍

@@swansoap the one with added cocoa butter…I think it was 70% laurel berry oil which is not economical for selling but it’s wonderful on my skin

How can i make one bar of soap؟
@cynthialage5512
@cynthialage5512 Жыл бұрын
First, do you know how to make soap and follow all the safety guidelines? Usually, making a melt and pour soap, it’s possible make one bar of soap. To make cold process requires much more knowledge. Further, buying Laurel berry fruit oil is very expensive and you would need to buy more oil than for just one bar. It certainly is less expensive to buy a soap you like from a reputable seller of handcrafted soap. Thanks for asking!

Teacher Cynthia, I notice that you cut your Aleppo soap into thicker pieces, compare with your other soaps. May I know the reason? It's supposed to be more expensive, as laurel berry oil isn't cheap! Are you gonna wait for a year, before you sell them? Thank you, Teacher Cynthia🙏🙏🙏🙇🙇🙇
@swansoap
@swansoap 2 жыл бұрын
Hi May! Yes, I cut them larger because they were not as tall. Right now they’re 8 oz. if I cut them one inch I felt they would be too small. This way they’re more attractive to buy as a substantial bar of this expensive soap. I will be curing them for a year before selling any. Thanks for watching dear May! Blessings and big hugs! 🤗❤️💚🤎💚🤎
