At.6.30 am a big earthquake hit andaman with 9.6magnitude and after 10 to 15 minutes and big tsunami hit the port blair city the capital of andaman. Thank god port blair was saved by an island called Ross island it was like a wall in 2004 tsunami in andaman and saved more than 100k people❤

I have just watched the U-Tube coverage of the 2004 Tsunami that hit Indonesia, Thailand (Phuket… where I visited in 2020) and Shri Lanka ( when two of our friends & their children had been visiting family, left only 2 days before…and lost family members) It was too emotional, what a tragic loss of human life! 😢😰😭 I am a survivalist…I have been in several life threatening situations and the rule is…if you don’t save yourself first, you cannot hope to save others. Kudos to all of the survivors, and their rescue attempts. Love to those who lost loved ones, who can never be replaced.❤

1) earthquakes happen all the time across the world, along the ridges and faultlines, along subduction zones. 2) predictions of such events are highly difficult and therefor questionable. Maybe unusual long periods of "quietness" in an usually unquiet area can mean that there is a quake imminent. But with no timepoints or schedules. It is easier to predict volcano eruptions some time in advance but even that is not something for being guaranteed.

Why can't we make Structures on the Beach such that they break the incoming waves, I mean, there are so many bridges that have Columns in the water that have Wave breaker structures. Can't we just erect such a structure to disrupt the formation before they become chaotic. We could also consider a Structure that could absorb the Frequencies or motion waves under the Sea/ocean surface, we could use it to convert it into some sort of energy as well.

For destructive tsunami , magnitude of 9or greater oceanic quake required ...and for greater than 9 magnitude to occur atleast more than 1000 km faults needs to be rupture ....sunda megathrust ,( ring of fire ) cascadian and peru chilli trench are some vulnerable points of tsunami ....I'm talking abt only earthquake generated tsunamis ....
