I have often thought of this story from scripture in relation to the current predicament of the Church so I really appreciate this sermon Father. You conveyed the parallels between the two situations so well. Although God expects us to pray, fast and do what we can to change things, we must do so from a tranquility based on the knowledge that He is in charge and will act in his own good time. Having said that, I appreciate the comment which says that it's up to us to wake up Our Lord through our prayers and sacrifices.

We know as Catholic’s that no matter what happens Jesus said the Gates of HELL would never prevail against his mystical body on earth the holy Catholic Church. Protestant’s are NOT Christian as St Pius IX said and this includes the Orthodox. Jesus founded ONE CHURCH on the Rock of Peter Two thousand year’s ago-that’s it! You have the Baptist cult, the Episcopalian cult,the Anglican cult,the cult of England,the Orthodox who became cults when they broke with Rome in 1054AD. Only Catholic’s go to Heaven! Protestants ARE Christians, but they have not the complete graces available to them as Catholics do. They are not our enemies, they are our separated brethren. Likewise with the Orthodox Church. The Orthodox are even more our brothers, but they refuse to submit to the Papacy in Rome. The split between Catholics and Orthodox is a very old and painful wound.

What you say is nonsensical. If any person kills another person, no matter the age of that person he killed, the murderer will go to Hell if he does not ask forgiveness and repent. As far as the child that was murdered, they may end up in heaven with a pit stop in Purgatory. We just do not know. If the person murdered was a baptized baby before the age of reason, they will go to heaven.

This is no guarantee that any Christian or Catholic will get to Heaven. If you die with mortal sin on your soul you will not make it to Heaven or even Purgatory. You will be condemned to hell. If you look up Our Lady of Garabandal or St. Padre Pio even there you’ll see that even Catholic priests and bishops have been condemned to hell.

If the man repented of his crime and gave a good confession, then yeah, he *may* be saved. At the very least, he wouldn't be damned on account of that particular sin. You act like that's a bad thing. We want people to repent, we want people to be saved. Even our enemies. The fact that repentance and forgiveness is possible is probably the greatest thing about Christ's teachings. There's no guarantee of the fate of the victim outside of the life that victim lived, as it is with everyone else. If they lived a holy life, then they would be saved. If they lived an unholy life they would probably be damned. Being a victim does not confer salvific grace upon you. Stop following the false prophet Mohammad. He was a rapist, a murderer, a pedophile, and a warlord. Embrace Jesus Christ and His Church. Repent of following a false prophet.
