Thank you so much for these reviews! The fact that you’re not a pro (yet!) makes it so much more relatable for guys like me who enjoy playing drums but haven’t been able to practice properly for years because, well, you’re an adult now and can’t keep annoying the neighbors. So I really appreciate these reviews man, they’ve convinced me to get one of these and start practicing again, one’s never too late! Thanks!

I'm a left leg amputee and just bought one of these....When I play my acoustic kit I have two high hats hooked up right next to each other since I cant use the high hat pedal...One is closed,and the other half way closed and I just grab it with my hands if I need that open to closed effect.....Is there any way to hook up another hat to this set and make it sound halfway open...and how would I do that?
@lucscott36315 жыл бұрын
James Darr you’d have to get an extension cymbal. You’d place it right by the hi hat. And set the sound to open
@zach09063 жыл бұрын
I could be wrong but since the Tom’s are dual zone you could map the rim of your left rack Tom to whichever hi-hat config you want. So leave your actual hi-hat open all the time (since you don’t use the pedal) and map your left rack Tom rim to a closed hit hat or vice versa. Obviously this will wear down the rim over time so use whichever one is less common on the rim mapping

Thank you for this review man!! I just want to ask you, if you can use the kit out of the box with just headphones, or Do you need the Amp to plug the headphones, I mean the thing is... One more question if you don't mind. When it comes to the songs pre-built into the kit. Once you get up there it seems to just be quick sound effects. What are these for? Check 103 for example. I've been jamming with # 27 and the neotrash songs lol I'm horrible but damn it's fun as hell.

Thanks for the video, got this kit last weekend. So far so good but the hihat pedal freaks me out. Been messing around with the sensitivity/threshold and splash settings in the module utility and the adjustable screw on the pedal itself. Can’t seem to get it right. Need to apply serious pressure for ‘closed’ hat and response for half open and open seems random. Any tips?

I was thinking of getting another kick for my command maybe a double pedal would be better. I was worried it wouldn't register. I was hitting the kick with my sticks and it wasn't triggering so I thought another kick instead of the expansion kit . Maybe double pedal is the way to go i just have to figure it out. Thanks man. Extra kick is 250

@@ipodcollector I think that's the route I have to go. I asked the sweetwater guys about it and they told me I can't hook another kick up to the set. No. I own a Forge and upgraded to a Surge for the mesh heads and am so disappointed with the Surge module. I'm going to use the Forge module but I'm pretty sure I'll lose the dual zones on the toms by doing so.

Could you program the hi hat pedal to sound like a bass drum?
@Seattle_Slew3 жыл бұрын
I believe you can program the hi-hat cymbal to any of the 385 voices, which include dozens of kicker variations. You can download the Kit and Voice list from the Alesis website’s Nitro Mesh kit page (look for downloads). It’s not listed as a download from the Surge page, but they both use the same module.

I want to get a set of these, but Alesis, while their products have good functional quality, they're rather famous for low lifespans and diminishing build quality. The set could be as amazing as anything for the first year, for $500 I don't want it breaking in 3 years with average play time. This video is one of the only update videos that shows use over time, but there are literally no videos showing this set after 2 or 3 years. That's concerning.
