Thanks for posting. It is my belief that you have two different Bernard Katzes in your recordings. In this recording with Alessandra Marc you have Bernard Katz of Michigan in his living room playing a Mason and Hamlin Grand. I used to play that piano all the time when I visited him as a child. The piano was built for Ossip Gabrilowitsch who was also the founding director of The Detroit Symphony Orchestra in Orchestra Hall.

You are correct, Bernie was a friend of mine and a long time accompanist. You are also right about the piano if my recollection is accurate. I believe Bernie also had a bosendorfer at one point.
