I cannot see Valentino 's signature elegant, feminine, sexy vibes anymore. His designs let an attractive person emerge and emphasised the body in a flattering way. Here we see ordinarily nice models covered under layers of luxury stuff.
@deborahponzio31794 ай бұрын
Also, valentino was obsessed with the hem lenghts, from the front but especially from the back. And movement was of key importance. These models look frozen instead

Absolutely in love with Alessandro’s new collection. I can definitely see the Horsebit inspiration with that bag! this collection feels like a dream 💓 if he launched his own label it would be a new chapter for fashion

Looking at his collection, my impression was he went through all his sketchbooks and pulled out everything he could never get made before and dumped it all out now! Boy was there extensive 1970s vibes going on, too - which of course I love because imho, the 1970s never went out of style but what can I say, I'm just an old grey-haired hippie chick who never really left the 70s lol! P.S. Gotta say I freakin' adore how confidently and comfortably you wear that single pearl earing. Not many could pull it off with as much panache as you do!

Fantastic analysis of this collection. The exceptional pieces were...well...exceptional. I enjoyed the rest, too. Loved the shoes with the crystals on each buckle. You did a great job with this one.

From the slides you showed, I do see a lot of Gucci influence in those piece and I actually quite like it. I was very pleased to get the pieces that I have from Gucci when he was still at the helm as Creative Director. He has a very whimsical style that I think sets him apart from other designers. Glad he found a new home at Valentino.

I could definitely see you getting into Valentino now that AM is over there!

“A blanding” is the PERFECT term for what’s happening. Some of the items in the “good” section feel like trying to be more wearable versions of the “exceptional” pieces but a little more bland. Rapid fire it is giving AM at Gucci for sure. But he has a strong esthetic. Sad to hear that Burberry is asking for more “blanding” - the miss I think they made was the price point, not the new pieces, it was the new prices. Otherwise both you and I would already own that Knight bag 😂
@CalebSnell4 ай бұрын
Haha, we'd definitely have the Knight bag for sure!!

Such an informative video Caleb!! I think they could have done something more creative with bags which did remind me of Gucci, but I enjoy all accessories like gloves, printed sneakers, scarves and hair clips! Yes true at Burberry as well...

Valentino Garavani's message was very simple since the beginning: "I want to make women beautiful". And he did that, with elegance. These are pretty girls dressed expensively.

thumbs up to your research well done. I have been a fan of Alessandro Michele since Gucci. His RTW excites me. I have been saving up money since I heard he joining Valentino. there are some similarity between this work at Valentino and Gucci but overall it is more tamed now the design. It would be sad to me if he completely changed his style because that's what's what I like about his design in the first place.

The only way Michele was able to pull off over 100+ outfits within 2 months was to use the designs originally intended for Gucci resort collection before quitting there abruptly. Just replacing G to V.😅
