The attack of Memnon, Lord of the Ethiopians

In this episode, we explore the figure of Memnon, the king of the Ethiopians, and his crucial role in one of history's most epic conflicts.
Let's begin.
Thersites' death unleashed a series of unexpected events in the Achaean camp. With discontent spreading and the first signs of indiscipline, Achilles finds himself dealing with the consequences of his impetuous action. Fearing the wrath of the Erinyes, the hero decides to undertake a journey of purification towards a sacred place, the island of Lesbos, accompanied by the cunning Odysseus.
During this purification ceremony, we will learn of the ancient practice known as "purification," which allows a ruler to redeem himself from past sins. Through arcane formulas and mysterious gestures, Achilles seeks to obtain inner peace and protection from the gods before facing new challenges.
In the meantime, Memnon arrives from the lands of Ethiopia, invoked for help by Priam, the king of Troy, due to the family ties that unite them. Memnon, son of Tithonus who is Priam's brother, brings with him an imposing army, ready to fight for the Trojan cause.
But his presence does not go unnoticed in the eyes of the Achaeans, who are preparing to face this new threat. With skill and courage, Memnon leads his troops towards the walls of Troy, bringing the Greeks to the brink of defeat. The battle reaches its climax when Memnon directly challenges Achilles, the greatest Greek hero, in an epic duel.
With glittering swords and armor forged by the gods themselves, the two demigods face each other in a confrontation that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. But in the end, even the greatest of heroes must succumb to fate.
Achilles manages to overpower Memnon, dealing a fatal blow that spells the end of the Ethiopian king. With the death of Memnon, the Trojans' hopes falter, while the Greeks find new vigor in the battle.
And so, between betrayals, duels and sacrifices, the Trojan War continues to unfold, bringing heroes and empires to ruin.

Grazie per questo bellissimo episodio . Ogni volta mi è sempre più difficile scegliere quale sia il mio personaggio preferito , ma l immagine della rugiada che siano le lacrime di eos è pura poesia .
