7 months ago I never heard of the Warning , then youtube suggested this video , I must have watched it 12 times in a row , so I soon went down the rabbit hole , hearing a song then another and the Warning do not have dud among the 3 albums . I told my grand daughters and they love them too , my favorite band in the last 20 years easy , and Jen , I love your reactions ,

I agree with you, I definitely like this rendition far more than the original. They absolutely killed it! The more we hear from The Warning, the more I come to believe it is literally impossible for the sisters to put out anything subpar! And, this collaboration with Alissa Cara, who by the way is a Grammy award winning Canadian pop star, was a perfect melding of pop and rock. But I honestly did not expect anything less! Again, they killed it! LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS aka THE WARNING!

Alessia Cara (Pop-RandB. 4 Grammy’s and many Hit Songs) along with The Warning, collaborated for about 2 weeks to come up with their own creative version, as Metallica asked them to do! Thus, the first hit off of the ‘Black Album’ to drop - ENTER SANDMAN! (These songs on the Blacklist album are not intended to be "covers", but a re-imagining of the songs as a tribute to the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara is a Canadian grammy award wining pop singer. Metallica approached Alessia. She has the same management agency as The Warning and they suggested a collab. Metallica asked them to not do a straight cover. The collab was remote. Shot in an abandoned textile mill outside Monterrey, Mexico. An incredible reimagined classic!

There are 6 versions of Enter Sandman on the Blacklist Album, which is a Metallica project celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Black Album. It's 53 artists that Metallica requested pick a song on the album and cover it however they wanted. Alessia Cara is a pop singer who Metallica actually asked, but her international manager is the same as The Warning's, and he suggested bringing them in. When all was said and done, they had a week to come up with something and record it. I've listened to the other versions; they're covers of the original with stylistic interpretations. This is the only one that's a true rework, and brilliant hardly describes it. If you've had a chance to check in on their Patreon feed, they're extremely proud of it, as well they should be. They also did a Patreon video about the making of the song, set to the song, so it's essentially a second video. Metallica took the same approach for their official video for Atlas Rise, but The Warning IMO outdid it for their unofficial video. Judging by what I see around, about 90-95% of Metallica fans really like it; some don't because it's too different from the original. That's what Metallica wanted. It has already been used as a video game trailer, and when Fox Sports asked Metallica if they'd be willing to rerecord the main riff for them to use this month, Metallica pointed them at this. By now it's about 162 hours since this came out, and it's what comes to mind when I think "Enter Sandman".

I just missed the count of how many times I have watched this video or any reaction to The Warning's Enter Sandman rendition with Alessia Cara and I think this won't be the last time I will (Unless I die before I wake) it's imposible not to be captivated each time by the entire production and the flawless performance of these girls. For the Metallica Blacklist album with 53 artist doing their own rendition of a song from the Black Album the question was asked to Alessia Cara if she wanted to contribute on the album and she is on the same agency as TW and someone suggested to Alessia Cara a cooperation with TW. The song was just used by Fox Sports as an intro, seems mainstream attention can't be far behind. If this goes top 40 they worked hard enough to earn it. They completely reinvented this song, it's the best cover of this ever. I wasn't the one who picked up on this it was Old Skule Nerd, the reacter. The really clever thing was when Metallica did this project Lars said pick any song, do it how you want, play it backwards if you feel like it. The Warning started with the outros and finished with Metallica's intro. Brilliant!

Love this interpretation, been a Metallica fan since the 80s the fact that their music has been embraced is amazing. While some Metallica purists may hate this know that these artists are introducing our favourite band to new generations and audiences of fans. Check out Nothing Else Matters with Miley Cyrus, Elton John, Chad Smith, and world renown cellist Yo Yo Ma. It is incredible. Elton John’s eloquence in describing NEM as one of the greatest melodies he’s ever heard brought James H to tears. So Metallica fans celebrate Blacklist and take the opportunity to broaden your own musical horizons and listen to other artists “Open mind for a different view” !
