Tim Follin is an extremely talented and underappreciated artist (by virtue of the games he's associated with). I highly recommend giving his music a try just by itself even without playing any games or just some of his solo stuff. I've been meaning to emulate some of the titles he composed for but I'm pretty reluctant given their reviews

It was nice to hear the Tim Follin talk in this, he's one of my favourite chiptune composers too, his work on the C64 is fucking excellent! If you wanna know where he is now, during the mid-2000's he retired from the gaming industry and started working on filmmaking and TV advertisements. Then in 2014 he made his own game, an FMV game called "Contradiction". I think it was received pretty decently, but hasn't sold that great unfortunately, though it is still available on Steam last I checked. He also put out another FMV game pretty recently called "At Dead of Night"

Basically Alex kept putting the movie Idiocracy on loop every day for all his time in college, until his room mate committed suicide, which has only fuelled his vitriolic attitude by burying the guilt within himself.

Post-homestuck Hussie, possibly. One of the reasons Homestuck is so reviled instead of just being disregarded is that he actually made some brilliant stuff in his prime.
