Best era for snooker was the 1980s,....and in Alex Higgins and Jimmy White ...they were like the Ronnie Wood and Keith moon of the green baize .....real mavericks of the game....but bloody brilliant spontaneous players

I had forgotten just how good White was back then. He used to flow in his playing. It was almost like watching dance choreography. He sadly don't do that anymore 😔

He was world champion in 1991 when he beat jimmy in the final after going 7-0 ahead in 1st session

As already pointed out he won the Worlds in 91 and won the Uk 6 months later. He beat Hendry 15 times and 2 draws in (The leagues) from 44 times played (Hendry won 27). There were some players back in the 80's and 90's that weren't that good but Parrott wasn't one of them.
