I think you're misrepresenting this video... Yes it's true, the game has changed, but this video is not in any way related to that... In this video, Kurdecha fouled on every attempt to pull Devon, he doesn't let Devon get anything, and he is elbow fouling every single time... Let's setup a real match, and you'll get what I mean... Devon might get close to the pin pad, but he won't lose, unless Kurdecha elbow fouls for the better position. Also Devon is down to 115kg now. Have you considered why Kurdecha feels the need to not give anything to Devon who weight much less than him? Devon will play in bad positions in sparrings, Kurdecha won't. This video shows Kurdecha being afraid of what Devon can do once he gets a fair grip...

@@TheVmaxiste in the beginning of the video , alex pin Devon first, then they tight the strap and Devon stop him 3-4 times. And notice Alex did many elbow fouls also. And left arm was not close at all. Alex is stronger in center , but couldnt finish Devon 3 times in the beginning. So in real match Devon would stop him and tier him out. In my opinion it was not so serious more , a time in , in the video. I take the first 3 pulls on right arm as an Answer where they stand. And also it practice so you cant take so much from it like a real match.
