This is the sort of weightlifting content that’s missing right now. Seeing all the different gyms and some of the older athletes still in the game is an excellent series to undertake

Nate Cerwinske, Clarence Kennedy, Sika strength… etc. the possibilities for this series are endless. It’d be super sick if you would be able to get Kolbi Ferguson on here. Dudes only been weightlifting for a couple years and he’s already completing at an insanely high level

Thanks for these training videos. Similar to the Lift Companion series you did with Zack, there's always a really good nugget of information buried in the discussion that helps my training. Alex really knows his stuff. The comments on "neutral" loading, front squatting to avoid over-relying on posterior flexion, and staying forward / using plantar flexion to get posterior connection, just excellent.

Super interesting video with some personal connection for me, was fortunate to have learned the snatch/clean+jerk at Alee and then worked with Gabriel Sincraian in-person in Romania more recently. I thought the discussion about Toma and Gabriel was interesting in that Dozer's characterization is probably more accurate in the winding up for the extension but it's probably incorrect to say they focus heavily on even foot pressure and ant/post chains. Kind of like how Alex mentions screening, they do a similar body screening in Romania but based on that screening determine if you push through full foot or if you should press through the heels. In a lot of cases if you see them warming up even with the empty bar, you notice they intentionally rock back to heels to create length for them to really push with legs and glutes which is how they attain their explosive power.

Love this new series, Mr Dozer... Mr Lee seems to have the same issue I have, which is soft knees in extension during the snatch... I also have the same issue with my jerk extension... I'm not sure if this can be corrected - because I've tried, a lot - or if it's just how my body works... Does anyone have any ideas on the best ways to work on reaching full extension, other than 'No Foots' & just snatching and C&Jing more... Many thanks.

Or to be totally fair to Mr Lee, maybe that was just during his warm-up reps.

Dozer, I’m a Grad Assistant trying to get into KZbin, and I absolutely love what you’re doing! We’ve got a pretty nice gym (OUAZ) where I coach, and it’d be awesome if you came by for one of our big Max Out Fridays/Saturday. It’d be unreal to see a real weightlifter in action, and you could even give us some pointers in real time to help me learn as a coach and help me and my guys with our lifts. We’re nowhere near your level, but it’d be a ton of fun!
