I moved from Australia to live in the USA, listening to Alex Lloyd's music 🎶 helps me with my Aussie homesickness 😊

Alex Lloyd has to be one of the best songwriters/singers in Australia but doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Caught Alex at The Croxton on Thursday night as part of the Black the Sun 20th Anniversary tour. Alex’s voice and songs are timeless, they forever symbolise my youth! The man is a national treasure!!

Epic tune, still play this and Lucky Star often at gigs. Saw Alex at `98 Livid festival and then met him at The Great Northern Hotel in Byron when the projector didn`t work on his 1st album tour, my bro and I sang Beatles songs with him afterwards on the balcony upstairs. Great, humble guy, great songwriter. I`d love him to tour this 1st album!!

I listen to this song since I’m 6 years old, I remember listening to it in the car with my parents, and until today, I’m 14 y/o I still listen to it. It gives me such a nostalgic feeling and I love this sensation, this is definitely one of my all time faves, I wish it was more recognized.

The size of the crush I had on Rose Byrne in the movie "Two Hands" was more than my little thrift shop shirt wearing heart could handle at that time. As to why he didnt do alot of large scale tours. Alot of his better songs are sung with quite a whispy falsetto that can sound a bit weak live. I loved him as a songwriter and at the end of the day, screw large scale gigs. Music is all about honesty and an intimate familiarity that leads to a connection between the artist and the listener. Large scale stadium tours are about as intimate as an airport runway. Have to say tho, Watching Angels mend was the last really great album hes made.

Agree wholeheartedly on every point. Rose Byrne in Two Hands was the benchmark unto which ever girl was compared for many years

It seems like a whole other life, buying this album, and watching him play at Homebake before he was very well known. Not even sure why I thought about this song today. Glad I did though. Feeling nostalgic.

This album reminds me of 20 years ago when I got married & running around the week leading up to the wedding organising everything. This was on repeat constantly in my car & I never changed it.

Black the sun Oh no, look at what we done Go away, oh no, won't you please stay? And dream of me, I wish you Would dream of me And dream of me, I hope you Will dream of me Words we speak, pictures are the Only things I keep. Rinse my mind I'm sure it will join me in time And dream of me, I wish you Would dream of me And dream of me, I hope you Will dream of me Up on your feet, around the bend Searching, I hope it never ends Walking your lonely street again Where tide meets the shore Woah woaaaah On a silent road And dream of me, I wish you would Black the sun And dream of me, I wish you would Black the sun And dream of me, I wish you would Black the sun And dream of me, I wish you would Black the sun The sun
