i guess more hot cues make it more complicated. But it depends on the DJ's some can say its way too much or more complicated and get into mixing with more effects and some can say complications adds to the fun as you can do more and more live stuff and for those who are a fan of trying a lot of mixing in the same scale can make it much better by playing around with more hot cues as it adds to the fun making it an amazing live set for a DJ. i guess the hot cues was more of the topic discussion but i guess there is more to it than just hot cues, like the track search is made easier with touch screen and you dont need to go back on folders and then search in case you have a pile of folders, also i like the tags option even though it doesnt do much as you can do it by folder naming in advance. I would love to try it

+LKV Yes depends from DJ to DJ, some DJ's don't even use hot cues at all, then is upgrade maybe is a bit much for the other new features. I would probably not upgrade either, but the clubs I play at will eventually need to upgrade sooner or later when more and more DJ's will start to request them and the clubs current CDJ-players at the same time getting older. For the clubs the 4K extra is no biggie... I'm guessing :)

Thanks George! Yes I have, its a "live" remix I guess you can call it. I use hotcues to chop it up and put another tracks melody to make it feel like a remix. Im thinking of making a mashup for it and share it on my Facebook! :-)

Beat matching by hand? Oldschool thing, and too important secs needed to do. 15 years ago (the start of my proDJ career) it was a skill, in the old days, with mk2s, CDJ-100/500 we don't have the sonic arsenal (Fxes, loops, fast track switch etc.) to do a mixing show like this, and we have time to beatmatch by hand. But if you want to do a sonically perfect mixing show nowadays with full of tracks, djtools etc. in a high amount of changes in a short time, sometimes sync is essential. But idiots who only can mix track after track only with sync, sync is useless in that situation.

Nice performance!! How is the sound quality compared to the Nexus1? As Pioneer looked really proud about that aspect. Looks wise I like the Nexus1 more to be honest. While this mat finish may be easier to maintain, the glossy bits from Nexus1 look really sweet.

Dom Hammer pioneer has the option to use pro dj link which basically means you use one USB on one cdj and you route an Ethernet cord from the Cdj into a pioneer mixer that supports it and you press the the link button on the other cdj and you're entire music library is on the other cdj as well
