Due to the intense public scrutiny of everything Murdaugh, revelations about possible crimes in the family's history were brought to light. I believe when AM testified and stated that he “knew for a fact that the individual/individuals who did what he saw that night, hated Paul Murdaugh and had anger in their heart”, he was confessing to what he felt towards his own son from the moment he planned the killings of his wife and son to the moment he pulled the triggers. I believe he did hate his son for causing so much damage and destruction to his family name and legacy and for the fact that his son’s wreckless and careless behavior that caused the boat crash that killed Mallory Beach was about to expose him and all his dirty dealings and stealings and he knew he was on the verge of losing everything. I also do not believe for one second that his own road side gunshot encounter qas a suicide for hire attempt at all. I believe he lured Cousin Eddy out to that road with the intent of killing Eddy and making it appear that it was self defense and that Eddy was the one responsible for the killings of his wife and son, in order to draw attention away from himself as a suspect and of course, had he been successful in those attempts, it probably would have worked since “dead men tell no tales” but as the Good Book tells us, that which is done in darkness shall be shown in light. Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

@janariley1648 not just desperation in my opinion would give a man the ability to kill his wife & child, but evil had taken control of this guy through his greed. Festering away all this time poured into hatred filled thoughts for those he blamed his fate upon. But these people are at these levels of evil because it's being passed down the generations of this family. Busters only hope is to embrace a painful truth and kill the evil by getting away leading an honest life & never looking back. If he stays with these people he's lost because he'd have to give up all truth to swallow all the lies his life is built on. What an example of how evil choices can take root and grow through the generations of a family that was built on lies and lived in fear of truth. Reminds me of the Biden crime family of corruption & evil.

Maggie wasn’t shot in the head while running…she was shot in the torso/breast while down on her hands & knees & the .300 bullet exited & hit her again in the head. 1st Fatal Shot. After she was dead he walked around her body & shot her directly in the head. 2nd Fatal Shot.

Yea, Candice was way out of her league when it came to discussing opiate usage, dosage effects and marksmanship. She even contradicted herself at one point and Julie sort of caught it but then dismissed it after another short piece. I thought, oh, geese, I hope no one really concerned about a loved one is taking this for solid information. It doesn't matter if the mind adapts and gets used to it, the kidneys, liver and lungs do not after a certain persistent high dose.

He was down picking up the other weapon when Paul who had already been shot in his chest started out the kennel room, that's why the shot came from underneath causing his whole brain to eject out the top landing near by on sidewalk.

Opioid addiction can go undetected because the signs are oftentimes subtle. But still, he would be obviously hooked if he actually took as much as he said. Yeah he was most likely hooked but again not the ridiculous amount he stated.

There was a painted portrait of Alex’s grandfather that was in the court room that they removed before the trial. Think about that, painted family portraits hanging in the courtrooms!! That family had Power!

Candice I agree with you on your points! Just a thought, Alex not only. Knew their “dynasty” was in jeopardy, but his $$ were going to be seized and he was not going to have that happen! His family was much more disposable than his $$!!

So over all involved in this case. Those teenagers had a choice ..They were not a squeaky group of kids.Doing drugs and all the alcohol involved.Give us a break. You reap what you soe

Yea, Paul was out of control that night but all other five kids participated even knowing ahead that he 'gets like that'. In fact they had a choice three times: #1) When they went out #2) After the party #3) After the bar. I feel for them all for sure, and that it happens a lot with teenagers. We must continue to realize that teenagers do not make good choices all the time and when alcohol is in the mix, our "chances" to make a good choices are reduced. Even straight and sharp thinking adults do not make good choices when too much alcohol is consumed. It is the nature of the beast to lower smart inhibitions. That is why we have to give our keys to someone else before we start drinking, no matter who we are because we too will probably refuse to once we drink.

Narcissist don't care about the members of their family as long as they ''conform'' and useful to the facade. They don't do love, they pretend. They see people as objects. Yes, Paul was a huge problem. He just got rid of him.

The Judge was biased. No Judge should have discussed Alex's ancestors--they weren't on trial & Alex isn't responsible for what other family members did in the past. The Judge set the sentence out of resentment. Alex didn't have a chance if he was totally INNOCENT. Too many jealous people in community. People who want their wealth & resent them for having it. The law in this county didn't try to look for anyone else. This man DID love his family. IF (& that is a big if) Alex did kill his son, Paul, I believe that it was to keep him from going through what lay ahead of him--imprisonment for the death of Miss Beach & concerning Maggie, Alex knew that Maggie couldn't handle the rejection & the embarrassment of his termination at the law firm & the financial embarrassment. This was a woman who expected a lot during her marriage. Image was everything to her. Say what you want with all the psycho babble. There are tons of people on the internet who have constantly analyzed this man. If he even rubbed his nose, then he is showing guilt according to these so-called behavioral specialists. I have never seen such evil people in this world rejoicing over the hurt & pain what this family (& other families) had to go through just to get a few bucks from their subscribers. At least Tinsley won't get his million $ fee to finish having his dental work done.
