He did get caught in that emotion but we can't pretend it was all about this. Alex has a edge on him at striking. When Alex Knock out Izzy, he clearly did something to Izzy that nobody did before, He was closing the distance in a way that Izzy didn't know how to escape. Small step and faints putting him in a place that he wasn't aware it existed on his game.

@@felipemauez3557 I'm not doubting that Alex was his toughest opponent either way, but Izzy wobbled him in the first round. He spent so much time saying he could not would not lose this fight I just think he was too cocky about it, that stuff gets in your head. Some guys the trash talk is a part of them, but Izzy isn't even a good trash talker he needs to just stay humble and focused, let his work do the talking.

@@JustSendMeLocation nah it wasn't in my dreams but it was super close fight. Hey this is a question, who's face was more fucked up? I don't think burns is face was as bad right? Look, that fight to me was just a cocky guy trying to pull off the same shit he did to al the lower ranks to find out, he couldn't do that every single time. If anything he won by a little hair. So what does this mean? Well he definately can't beat usman. Also, it means that Colby would do very well against him. So someone is bound to knock him off his horse. Ok, now, we have a more self aware khamzhat, he definately made some adjustments to his ground and pound style. That could be either a really good thing, or a bad one. Let's see how it turns out. Im excited, I am a fan of khamzat but I also love, love, love seeing guys get humbled more than anything.

@@lil_grogu89abuelo59 if you watched the fight you’d remember Khamzats coaches telling him to stick to the plan (wrestling) but since burns wanted to bang it out so did Khamzat & I’m glad he did because it gave us a crazy entertaining fight, burns won the 2nd round but Khamzat won the 1st and 3rd round, Khamzat wasn’t humbled if anything he proved he isn’t just a high level wrestler & that he can duke it out, and regarding who’s face is more damaged doesn’t mean anything, your face could take more damage than mine but what if I land more punches? some people have a serious chin and that’s the case with burns, if Khamzat stuck to his original game plan that fight wouldn’t of been no way near as close and would’ve been one sided on Khamzats part, but burns earned everyone’s respect & id love to see that fight happen again, good day to you my friend.

@@ShpirtSvensson-rm1gr then why are the majority of fighters getting knocked tf out by them if it's as simple as ALL fighters can take a hit? I'm not saying they'll win but clearly they're far far far better strikers than anything Khazmat has ever had to face. So again it works both ways. If bro isn't careful he'll end up face down on the canvas. And Gilbert is no Pereira in terms of striking and the fact that you even compare it speaks volumes of what you know about the UFC. I agree wrestlers are dominating currently but the divisions they are dominating there isn't a striker amongst them with as much promise as Pereira and Izzy. Not even close 😂😂

@vevven ennevvev it never does make sense to rankings anymore look at Jones and Gane, volk and makhachev and the upcoming McGregor Chandler. Dana is ruining the sport with his moneyfights and not paying fighters on top of it. It made no sense for Jones to be fighting for a title in a weight class he's never fought in and not ranked in and he didn't have a belt. How did Conor even cone to fight any of the guys he did at the end of his run losing 4 of 5 and only beating a washed up cowboy. He hasn't even had a close fight. It's just crazy and I quit supporting the ufc because of it where I used to work for high level ufc execs I won't mention. Top 10 fighters in every weight class are being paid the same or less than football players did in the 70s. Not even enough to support their families and careers. Coaches now have to volunteer their time to top fighters in hopes they get one of Dana s moneyfights to even get paid then there's cornermen and training fees and ufc wants exclusive contracts on top of it all. It's indentured servitude. I fully support a boycott for the fighters sake. Make it make sense.

@@Rob.Ko. He's not slept on, there's just holes In his game (and everybody else's In MMA) that'd be exploited easily by fighters like Whittaker and Khamzat. Jorge Masvidal himself who's grappled and been wrestled down by elite BJJ black belts like Demian Maia has said, he doesn't know how well Alex will do against these elite wrestlers In the division. We're not saying he can't win against a fair amount of them (I think he'd beat Vettori and Cannonier, and he'd chin Brunson), but when Izzy got Alex to the ground he racked up a minute or so control time against him, now Imagine what an elite freestyle wrestler like Khamzat would do to him once he gets him down, transitions In side control, tires him out, scrambles and gain better wrist control, etc. A fighter like Khamzat seeing him as easy money would be believable. Obviously we don't know, because Alex is at 205 now fighting Jan, but part of the reason why he up, dipped, and move was probably because of the "fear" or lacking of confidence of him facing stylistic nightmare matchups for him like Khamzat or Whittaker. Alex Is a beast (and I admit that as an Izzy fan), but It's going to be a long night for him If he ever chooses to face those style of fighters.

Chimaev is a fantastic wrestler but Pereira has world class kicking and striking skills that would make it difficult for Chimaev to close the distance and get on the inside where he excels the most. And if you ask any ai and google or mma experts their answer would be same. And don’t forget khamzat fights in light weight category and alex fights in light heavyweight there is significant difference between their opponents. Light heavyweight fighters are beasts. There was basically low margin for error, that is why he lost. But in terms of what he did throughout the fight, it was his best fight. I don't think much else can change really. Khamzat *might* take Pereira down and beat him, he might get his head knocked off by a guy way bigger than him. Everyone saying Izzy was about to ko in the first round but the point is did he do it? No, atleast give the credits that Alex deserves
@stitch438

The funniest part of that is no one talks about why Izzy didn't try to capitalize on it at the start of the 2nd. He just right went back to his play it safe mode and wait to counter approach, he doesn't seem to have that killer instinct and he's unwilling to take any chances. Izzy best defense in the first fight was being able to grab Pereira's arms/gloves when he got in close, not something he was used to in kickboxing. Now that he has experienced that and had to train for how to stop it and ways to attack off of it, I see it far more difficult for Izzy in the 2nd fight.

What a useless perspective, you ignoring the fact that he almost got KNOCKED OUT is hypocritical to what you say. You're taking credit away from Izzy's performance, like how the UFC pr team has been doing by only showing the Izzy knockout by Alex from kickboxing. But they never show the standing 8 count Pereira got from the referee after Izzy put a beating on him. Give both men credit, not just the winner.

People need to stop saying Khamzat would ragdoll Alex, is it likely? sure but are we forgetting that Alex has the absolute most vicious knees lol if hes expecting Khamzat to shoot which he will at some point that knee is waiting. Anything can happen in a fight. Just enjoy and hope that it happens.

you are right, but the reality of wrestlings strength in MMA is the more trustworthy lean. Will Khamzat give Pereira a chance to head kick him like Edwards did to Usman? i dont think he will

@@shikakabubu Theres always a chance for a defensive strike to a takedown, doesn't need to be given, he can minimize the window but it'll still be there. And Alex would be one of the best to land a move like that. So we'll see

The problem is that Khamzat doesn't shoot like folk-style wrestlers do, which makes it difficult to land a knee on him. You'll notice that no one is ever able to land a knee on the sambo wrestlers because they make sure to first close the gap before dropping levels. At which point no damage can come from the knee since it's too close Knees work against traditional wrestling because they drop levels to "shoot" for a takedown.

@@shikakabubu I mean you basically repeated what I said. I said its likely. But anything can happen and it doesent matter nobody gives themselves the chance to get kneed it just happens sometimes, bad enough you get knocked out. Alex is also bigger than Khamzat (maybe not by alot im not sure) but helps aswell. I just want to see it lol

Tbh looking back on that Izzy vs Alex. Izzy threw that fight. He was winning every round and aside from some leg kicks Alex was getting dominated by his sloppy wrestling. He was already up on all scorecards. All he had to do was keep his ass down. Khamzat most likely wouldn't make that mistake and would beat Alex to a pulp on the mat.

@JoshuaGonzalezEducational nah only thing Alex did well that entire fight was target his leg so cudos to him. But if Izzy just stayed on the outside,or run like ppl accuse him of doing he would've still won even if he lost that round per score card.
