Had a sore throat in Brazil took antibiotics for 5 days and then when he was in Utah got the sore throat again and 5 more days of antibiotics, and a tore in his pink toe ligament, the one that he broke at UFC 300, bro is a beast he fought and defended his title 3 times with a lot of injuries, had surgery in his knee all in the span of 7 months.

The rib cartilage doesn't just get inflamed without it being torn. The cartilage is what holds his rib cage together. Just adding a bit of context because his injury isn't just a little bit of inflammation. That inflammation had a root cause, and that root cause is quite serious because when nothing is holding those ribs together, the ribs often break and can puncture a lung.

The mindset of Kickboxing and Muay Thai guys are different Kickboxing and Muay Thai cause much more damage and injury than MMA. MMA even seems soft compared to both Poatan said that in Kickboxing he fought today and in the next fight 3 months later he was still in pain from the last fight.
