The second knockout wasn't worse only because the referee stopped for Izzy's own safety. It's the exact opposite, Izzy himself was crying after losing the third fight saying he was winning when the bell rang and he threw two punches, but the referee saved Poatan. Now that Poatan was dominating the fight and Izzy won with a surprise counterattack, he ignores this fact and runs away from a fifth fight.

Everything around us was built on the shoulders of ideas and stories. Our reality isn't shaped by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us, and what decides that? It's the lens through which we see it, and stories have a significant role in shaping our perspective. Alex is honourable, had a hard life, and had an incredible journey. He lost to the same guy thrice and he felt he could never defeat him because styles make fights which I too think is true to an extent. And then there is Izzy who fought him thrice and lost but from his perspective, his story, which has inspiration from Anime as he himself has said multiple times, Alex was just another challenge he had to face, he had to rise above that challenge because that's who he is in his story and what he wants to bring forth in this life. Some idiots in the comments are like hard lives that build hard people. And I am not even denying that, but many people live hard lives but they don't all become great people. It's the stories they believe in and tell themselves that help them become great.
